Woman's Ex Neighbor Keeps Parking In Her Spot, Gets Their Car Towed

What's with all these inconsiderate and entitled folks parking in spots that don't belong to them? It seems to be a terrible form of entitlement that'll never end. This woman asked the moral judges of Reddit's AITA community whether or not she was in the wrong for getting their car towed. It seems like that was the only viable option available at her disposal. If people refuse to be reasonable when it comes to parking drama, the tow truck really is the best course of action.

Check out some more parking drama with another neighbor who refused to park elsewhere, got their car towed, and then expected compensation for the towing. Yes, that's real life.

Parking is scarce, or I should say, FREE parking is scarce. I lived in an old house converted into 8 apartment units, and it had its own mini parking lot with 8 spots for the tenants. I had a neighbor (F) who got a job working nights a few blocks away from our apartment which worked out great because she could just walk to work and didn't have

Font - I noticed that F was still parking in her old spot, but it was taking forever to fill her old apartment so I didn't really care because no one else was parking there. Well they finally found a new tenant about two weeks ago and he has been filling that parking space. Well unlucky for me, I happen to get off of work right after F starts work, and she has continued parking in our lot, which means that I don't have a place to park whenI get home. I've been having to park on the street and pa

Font - I finally caught F after her shift a couple days ago and let her know that she needed to stop parking in the lot now that we have a new tenant because she was parking my space and it was really inconvenient for me to have to pay for parking at my own home and that l'm pregnant so the walk from the street up to the back entrance of the house was getting hard for me. F apologized and said that she can't really afford to pay for parking for her whole shift but she wouldn't park there anymore

Font - I alled my fiancé and he called a tow truck. The guy came and took her car, and I pulled my car in and went inside. At about 6 AM F started pounding on my door. When I answered she started screaming at me, asking where her car was, she said she had just worked a 14 hour shift because one of the morning shift had called out and that she was exhausted and needed to get home. I told her that her car was a the tow yard and that I was also tired and needed MY parking sport.

Font - She started crying and told me that I needed to drive her there and pay to get her car back because she can't afford it and couldn't get home without it. I told her tough luck, she shouldn't have parked in my spot when I asked her not to, and she'll need to figure it out herself and shut the door. She stayed out there for another thirty minutes before she left. I don't know where she went after that but l've been getting a lot of shit from other neighbors and mutual friends (We went to th

Font - Edit: so what our mutual friends have been saying is that our land lord was going to bump her rent when she renewed her lease so she moved into a place that was slightly more expensive but a lot nicer than the apartment she was living in. I guess she bit off more than she could chew and wasn't sure if she could cover rent for this month. I would have been way more understanding if she had just been upfront about it, and we could have worked something out, but for her to say that she would

This is called living with your choices, being an adult, and handling the consequences. She no longer lives there and should have figured out something else for parking as soon as she moved out. Smile - MyMarge · 17h NTA, I laughed when you said that she told you that you had to take her to get it, and to pay for it. To hell with the neighbors. Tell them to let her have THEIR spot. Bet they will clutch their pearls on that suggestion.

She may be going through a tough time but it is in no way your fault that she decided to continue to do something she knew was wrong. You were nice enough to not tow her the first time she did it. You asked her nicely to not park there and she did it anyways. Her money problems are not your problem. If the parking is exclusively for your apartment building a sign should definitely be put up warning people that cars will be towed at the owner's expense if they don't live there . G Reply 46 ...

Smile - aprilgc · 17h NTA: Why would she assume she could park there after moving out? Although, you should have said something when it first started regardless if someone wasn't living in that apartment. G Reply 1 372 ...

Font - hecknono • 14h NTA what do you mean "because of me" uh no, it is because of her and her poor choices. She was parking in someone else's spot purposely, knowing you were pregnant and that you had to pay for parking because she took your spot. Did she feel bad about you having to pay for parking? offer to reimburse you? Did she feel bad about making a prgnant woman walk an extra couple of blocks? no. because she is selfish and only thinks of her self. This is all of her own doing. YOU did n
