Now You Can Take a Class to Learn How to Brew Beer
While California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, CA isn't the first university to hold a class on beer, it is the first to sell the beer made by the brewing class on campus. The increased interest in craft beer may be the reason behind growing popularity in college brewing courses. Cal Poly is only the beginning, Colorado State University also plans to start selling its microbrews made by students.
Since the craft beer industry is growing, David Ryder, chief brewmaster for MillerCoors told CBS Los Angeles, “This could be a natural progression for college programs."

Feat of the Day: Watch a Man Eat a 5-Pound Burrito in Less Than 2 Minutes
Matt Stonie doesn’t savor his food, he demolishes it.
Five years ago, the competitive eater challenged himself to eat a massive burrito as quickly as possible, and he managed to do it in about 15 minutes, according to The Mirror.
To celebrate having 500k followers on YouTube, he recently tried it again and completely crushed his previous record.
“Burritozilla,” as it is called, weighs 5 pounds and is 18-inches long.
Watch him scarf it down in about 1 minutes and 50 seconds.
Stonie has participated in plenty of other food challenges in the past, which you an check out on his YouTube channel, involving pretty much anything you can imagine, including bacon, poutine, egge nog, Twinkies and marshmallow Peeps.

Outrage of the Day: Florida Man Films Burger King Employee Pouring Fry Oil Into Storm Drain
A new video has emerged online of a Burger King employee in Lake Worth, Florida pouring fry oil into a storm drain, and it has a lot of people flaming mad.
Joe May, who was passing by at the time, decided to capture the disposal on camera. He then posted the clip on Facebook along with a brief description of the scene, which now has almost 1 million views.
International franchise and they cant pay for a disposal company?! How often is this happening? Everyday? Twice a day? Someone needs to be held accountable for this. And yea, it was without a doubt, used fry oil. It was steaming hot. Share this so everyone can see what these people are doing!
May also notes on his page that he shot a second video of his interaction with the manager of the restaurant, but that one doesn’t appear to have been posted yet.
Some angry viewers of the clip are posting it on Burger King’s Facebook page and asking for the company to comment on it.
WPTV News spoke with an environmentalist who confirmed that dumping anything into the sewer is probably not a good idea.
“Whatever is going to be put in the water that’s going down the storm drain is going to be a problem,” he said.
The fast food chain might need take a cue from McDonald’s and give the Burger King mascot a sexy makeover to help dig themselves out of this PR mess.

Apology of the Day: Georgia School Founder Sorry for Making Racist Remarks at Graduation, Blames Devil
Well this certainly was a graduation that the students will never forget.
At the TNT Academy commencement ceremony in Georgia on Friday, the Valedictorian’s speech was accidentally left out of the program, so the crowd had started to disperse when he got up to speak, and not everyone was paying attention.
That’s when the school’s founder/director Nancy Gordeuk stepped up to the microphone to tell everyone that they were being rude.
“Look who’s leaving… all the black people,” she said.
As the video shows, the room quickly reacts to the racist comments with some people approaching the podium and others walking out in disgust.
Gordeuk has since apologized in an email to parents, in which she says “the devil was in the house and came out from my mouth,” according to 11 Alive News in Atlanta.
She also issued the following statement to NBC News.
Frustrated with the prospect of ruining the once-in-a-lifetime ceremony the graduates have worked so hard for, my emotions got the best of me and that is when I blurted out ‘you people are being so rude to not listen to this speech.’ I deeply apologize for my actions made in the emotional state of trying to let this last student finish his speech.
Here’s another video of the incident that includes a moment before the racist remarks where she calls someone a “goober” and a “coward.”
“She’s off her rocker,” says one of the men in the video.

This is the work of Steve Price, who converted the entire battlestation to a peaceful palace using LEGO Friends pieces. The whole thing includes a pizza room, a dancefloor, salon, juice bar, and concert venue. And obviously that giant death ray has been converted to spread friendship and happiness around the universe. Because duh.

Fail of the Day: Disappointed Customers Say That 1-800-Flowers Ruined Mother’s Day
It’s that time of the year again, when everyone orders beautiful bouquets of flowers online for mom, and a pile of wilted weeds shows up on the doorstep instead.
And sometimes nothing at all!
There were lots of unhappy 1-800-Flowers customers this Mother’s Day complaining on social media about terrible service and deliveries that didn’t exactly live up to the pictures online.
Some flowers arrived dead, some weren’t even the same product as what was originally ordered.
Many people are posting some interesting before and after images, while others are simply expressing their outrage with nasty messages on their Facebook page.
“Once again another occasion ruined by using 1-800-flowers!” writes one Facebook commenter.
“My mom taught me that you should honor your word and keep your integrity,” writes another. “I guess that has not been taught by the founder or passed down to the company in any shape or form.”
The 1-800-Flowers customer service team is in full recovery mode, per usual, responding to the angry tweets and posts.
And this isn’t the first time this sort of thing has happened. In fact there’s even a hashtag that has emerged for people to vent about the service: #1800FlowersFail.
This past February 1-800-Flowers also ruined Valentine’s Day, with lots of people sharing their miserable looking arrangements online.

Weather of the Day: Tornado Intersects with Rainbow in Colorado, Snow Blankets Coors Field
The country experienced some very weird weather over the weekend, especially Colorado.
A group of storm chasers spotted the “Wizard of Oz” IRL Saturday in Eads, and they captured the unusual sight in the video above.
Rain-nado or Torn-bow? You decide.
A photo was also posted to Facebook and Twitter, with some commenters wondering if it was Photoshopped.
Although the video footage proves otherwise.
“Somewhere over the rainbow in Colorado today, there was another rainbow, with a tornado above it!” the Basehunters wrote on Facebook. “An incredible sight to witness in person!”
Sure it’s cool to see, but it’s probably not a great idea to try to find the pot of gold in this case.
Meanwhile in Denver, late season snow on Sunday made for some unpleasant conditions to play baseball, but they did anyway.
The Colorado Rockies tweeted pictures of Coors Field blanketed in snow Sunday ahead of theirafternoon game against the LA Dodgers.
Go home Mother Nature, you’re drunk.
