Problem Customer Demands Exact Amount of Ice Cream, Gets Less

It's not uncommon for customers to find themselves on the wrong ends of their own "fairness" tantrums, like this guy who asked for no ice and got less than that or this one pound cake Karen who was furious for getting what she wanted. At the same time, Kudos to managers who aren't gonna put up with all the nonsense, like this manager who went full throttle on a customer who demanded hotter coffee.

Tumblr Explains Burgergate, The Most Unnecessary Chicken Sandwich Drama

One of the biggest problems with talking online is that it's impossible to decipher someone's tone, but at the same time it's also very easy to assume someone is trying to be a jackass. On top of that, we never really know when we might "crossing the line" for someone who's freakout meter is set on a hair trigger. And to fuel the flames of this situation in particular, they decided to make like a chicken sandwich themselves and double down. What started as one chicken burger/sandwich correction rolled into a multi-day snafu that had people freaking out over nothing when everyone could have just gone outside or spent time with their families. Amazing. For some more stupid drama, here's a Tumblr thread on drama in the yarn community.

Tumblr Thread: The Debate Over "Is Honey Truly Vegan" Rages On

Making perfectly ethical dietary decisions is hard. Most people who refuse to eat meat on ethical grounds bring up the reasonable claim of "I like animals and hurting them makes me feel bad" which is their choice to make. But things aren't so simple when it comes to products made by animals themselves, and it becomes less clear still when it comes to bees. The claim of "is it ethical to steal the labor of bees" has a whole lot of twists and turns. Naturally, the people of tumblr took the idea and ran it into a wall, specifically with the whole hilariously dumb "bee centrifuge" thing.

Lady Drives Off Tow Truck During Repo, Smashes Cars

Having your car towed absolutely sucks. But given the circumstances of having a repossessed car already up on the truck, most of us would consider it a lost cause. It's unclear what the plan was here, but "smash two cars and my own and drive off after being identified on camera" is not exactly a terrific choice to make given the options.  Yikes.

"Robert E.T." is The Height of Stupid Brilliance

One of our favorite things is when someone uses technical talent and uses it to turn a pretty sophisticated idea into the dumbest thing ever. Here's a video that took the Ken Burns Civil War documentary and remorselessly smooshed in a much E.T. as it could handle. Dear god it's so stupid and wonderful. Bravo.

Coworker Throws Tantrum Over New Monitor, Thinks It Will Delete Her Precious Icons

It's hard to explain technology to someone even when they're actively trying to understand what's going on. But take some ignorance, maybe add a little bit of entitlement throw in a helping of utter fear and you've got yourself a recipe for someone who's not ready for a new computer monitor. People are naturally resistant to learning, but it doesn't have to get as bad as this company that plugged every ethernet cable into their router at random or this man who assumed that a literal fire was a feature of his computer.

Scammer Claims To Be CEO, Gets Trolled Like Mad

There's a scam out there where a stranger pretends to be your boss. And, keeping in line with totally normal things CEOs do, he really wants some apple gift cards. It's such a sophisticated tactic that it's almost impossible to notice. With all the times our bosses have demanded gift cards and emailed us barely readable messages asking for our financial information, it can be hard to tell when you're being played. For some more fun scam moments, here are times incompetent scammers were their own worst enemies.

Improbable Historical Events That Read Like Time Traveler Intervention

To put it in glaringly obvious and almost stupid terms, a lot of things have happened. And when a lot of things happen, the probability of incredibly improbable events occurring increases. So naturally, it would make sense that in all of human history, some extremely improbable things have happened. But damn if it doesn't really feel like someone with access to a DeLorean with a working flux capacitor would make it easier to accept these wild historical moments that are too bizarre to seem real.

Tumblr Story: Dad Pretends To Hate Cat, The Truth Comes Out

The mere image of this dad walking around the house with a lovely cat draped around his shoulder/neck like an actual scarf is enough to make one smile. Now, you factor on top of that the fact that dad insisted on putting on a ridiculous show that he wasn't helplessly in love with the cat? Oh boy, you've got a winner. We're just glad that dad and this cat are actually best friends, after all. Check out some more gold from Tumblr with this Tumblr thread about the big, weird, and empty mansions of rich people.

Tumblr Gems and Funny Tweets To Evaporate Boredom

Everyone thought the internet would free us. They said that with totally open channels of information, we could pull ourselves out of darkness and achieve global self-actualization. Well the internet is here and it seems like people use it to tell each other about weird dreams they had and show each other pictures of raccoon. So it's a close. Here are some more tumblr gems and funny tweets.

Gross Things Everyone Else Seems To Like

When did everyone start falling over themselves for impossible-to-eat hamburgers and pimple-popping videos? Why does a video of a family sloppily eating a lobster dinner have over 30 million views on YouTube? What's wrong with everyone else and why are they objectively incorrect about basic things? It takes all kinds. For some proof, here are the weirdest things people saw at other people's houses.

TSA Orders Videographer To Screen Electronics Individually, He Has Dozens

No one is ever exactly thrilled to deal with airport security, especially when there's still no 100 percent guarantee that all the inconvenience will be effective. So the moment that you're on your 10th hour of travel, have your shoes and belt off, and get told that you've been "specially selected" and ordered to gut your bags for dozens of pieces of equipment at the added inconvenience of everyone behind you, things get interesting. For another fun travel story, here's the passenger who was expected to entertain a fellow flyer's kids and was having none of it.

Golden Neighbor Moments From Best of Nextdoor

Neighbors are great. Where else do you get a chance to interact with cranky people whose only common interest is the physical space they're forced to exist in? The beautiful thing about apps like Nextdoor is that we get to peer into the complex innerworkings of the mind of the guy on your corner who stands there with the hose for hours, seemingly unaware that the water is off. Neighbors can get wild.

Insane Chef Boyfriend Rates Girlfriend’s Cooking in Front of Her Family, Demands She Apologize

This guy must think that he's the next Gordon Ramsay. Bro, what makes for good television does not make for healthy interactions with real-life people.

That being said, I guarantee that if Gordon spoke to his significant other this way he would get the exact same reaction. As some of the commenters say, it's one thing to give her some constructive criticism in private if she's trying to improve. It's a completely seperate thing to rate her food in front of her family....

Just tag this onto the end of a long list of the ridiculous things guys have done to their partners

Picky Eater Orders Fast Food To Hibachi Restaurant, Internet Weighs In

Dietary differences can inspire some serious drama, like this vegan who refused to eat a coworker's suspicious cake. In this case there are no ethical and health grounds for this person making a spectacle of themselves, it's just good old fashioned adult picky eating. The internet didn't exactly take kindly to a legal adult who ordered Burger King to a hibachi restaurant.
