20 Gollum memes for those who want the precious

Say what you like about good ol' Sméagol — at least the guy's got dedication and staying power — that's certainly more than a lot us can say. You'd have to imagine that, if he was able to accurately portray these qualities on his CV, he'd do quite well in a job interview process. I, for one, would hate to come up against him in that final selection process.

Sure, there's that whole "murdered his cousin in cold blood" thing, but, if recent trends are anything to go off of, that would just mean that he'd do quite well with the ladies too. He's the complete package, a double threat; Jeffrey Dahmer, move over and make room for Sméagol to move on into the murder podcast girlies' hearts and minds.

If you're someone who enjoys a hefty dose of Gollum and Sméagol, and you just can't get enough of this devilish little bastard, then you're going to love this collection of memes.

Married Couple Moves in with Friend, Conservative Wife Asks Friend to Remove 'Scandalous' Wedding Photo in Her Presence

I would not want to be Dahlia's husband. This woman is not just crazy religious, she's also just crazy. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by her husband, who had recently asked his friend Anthony if he and his wife could temporarily move in after their stay with his mother did not go over well. One has to wonder why their stay with the mom went so poorly. Let's be real here: it was probably Dahlia.

Dahlia put her husband in the most uncomfortable situation when she refused to leave her room until the very wholesome but apparently "scandalous" photo of Anthony and his wife kissing was taken down. Anthony refused to take it down, not only because it wasn't at all scandalous, but also because this was his own home after all. The Redditor tries his best here to make it seem like Anthony is being out of line, but the facts speak for themselves. Dahlia is out of line. Keep scrolling below to see for yourselves. '16 years ago [...] I slept with another woman which resulted in another child': Cheating husband punishes daughter for acting out after she felt excluded

This guy refuses to take any responsibility for his actions. That much is clear based on this thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit.

The first red flag in his post comes in the second sentence when he admitted to cheating on his wife and fathering another child as a result but blamed the encounter entirely on alcohol. 16 years later, although his wife has forgiven him, she still refuses to associate with her husband's daughter in any way. This is where she is the culprit too. Clearly, there are unresolved problems within their marriage because the wife is placing the blame on the wrong person. Meanwhile, the Redditor is neglecting his daughter and constantly giving her the short end of the stick in order to keep his wife happy. Keep scrolling below to see what happened when the whole family went out and the Redditor's wife refused to let her husband give his daughter a lift.

'Ok, boss': Supervisor mandates no overtime but also mandates checking emails at home, guy charges it as overtime

Which is it? No overtime… or checking emails at home? You can't have both. Too many employers these days expect their employees to be always available —without receiving compensation for it.

Anyone who has worked retail, or in a waged position, has had an employer who has made it as difficult as possible to claim overtime. The store closes at 6:30 pm, and you're only contracted for those hours. So in an inexplicably non-existent amount of time, you have to manage to round up all the customers, get them out of the premises, pack everything inside, count the till, get the staff out the door, and access the safe. This frequently takes over 10-15 minutes, but you'd better not dare claim overtime for it. The repeated grief you've received for previously claiming it has made the company's position perfectly clear.

This low-grade wage theft multiplies when you consider that 15 minutes a day is over an hour of paid labor a week, and that's without considering all the missed breaks.

So, when this employee was faced with the conundrum of needing to be available to check their email after hours, they considered themselves to have been granted an exception to the previous "no overtime" ruling. This would have disastrous consequences for their supervisor.
