'Bad Boss' Forces IT Department to Work Holiday, IT Manager Charges Massive Party to Company

An IT Department Manager shared their story of being forced to work on the 4th of July by a "Bad VP." The story was shared on Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by Reddit user, u/TheLightningCount1, who shared their brilliant method of exacting what revenge they could on the uncaring VP by charging a massive 4th of July office party to the company card.

Having a holiday off of work is one of the best changes of pace you could possibly ask for. It offers you a chance to do something different in order to escape from the monotony of your weekly routine. That's why they exist. They're intended to be a day where you can escape from it all to spend the day with loved ones or in a beloved place.

Working a holiday completely spoils this essential experience and is one of the most toxic parts of the modern working landscape. Recent trends such as Black Friday and midnight openings on Thanksgiving have helped to erode the sanctity of these days. Now, working a service job or retail often means having to miss this holiday time so that you can keep your job.

'Now, my email notifications are muted': Employee scolded for leaving early, gets revenge by going off the grid after hours

This annoying VP decided to be a stickler when it comes to leaving the office even a few minutes early. Are you serious? If the work gets done well, what's the issue? As you can tell, we already have our opinions on this matter.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/Gloglibologna, who shared that in retaliation, he and his fellow employees decided to mute their email notifications such that they are not reachable as soon as the clock hits 5:01 pm. This is especially damaging to the horrible boss in question because apparently, he tends to only send emails to his employees after work hours. Looks like another classic case of a boss not realizing that if they want to enforce strict policies, they're going to need to follow the same rules as well. 'Update: We broke up': Guy confesses his freeloading "tired girl" girlfriend's sleeping habits have been ruining their relationship

Everyone knows a "tired girl": tired old ladies who inhabit a younger body that just want to do nothing but sleep.

My girlfriend is one of these "tired girls" and, if you let her, she would sleep for 15 hours straight with no problems. She's more than happy to go to bed at 9 pm on a Friday night, and her ideal Saturday evening is curling up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn before hitting the hay at the startling hour of 10 pm. As with anything, there will be someone out there in the world who is taking things way too far, and this "tired girl" is one of those people.

Her boyfriend originally posted to Reddit's confessional subreddit, r/TrueOffMyChest, sharing that the amount of time she has spent sleeping has made him stop loving her. He got kinda roasted in the original thread for some of the things he said and then returned with an update that the couple had split due to her refusal to seek help and address the problem. (This update thread starts from item #8.)
