How on earth did this dude end up in the position of power that they did? It truly boggles the mind. Like, we're talking about a department manager who somehow didn't understand that monitors also need computers (system units). And from that misunderstanding blossomed a pricey fail that just kind of hurts to picture. The department manager's jaw must've sunk to the floor in defeat. We're not sure what Karen was thinking on this one. She took what was otherwise a low key coupon designed to help anyone in need, and turned it into a whole situation where she was paying even more money in legal fees than she ever could've imagined in the first place. It's often worth it to defer to the person whose job it is to schedule things, but Karen was sure about what she wanted, so by gum she got it. If they'd never said anything, they would've been a whole lot better off.

There's nothing like the piquant flavor of a particularly entitled person and their amazing demands. The bold notes of entitlement, with mouthwatering flourishes of narcissism, followed by an overwhelming break from reality are what keep those demands alive. Overbearing neighbors, completely unsympathetic bosses and emotionally stunted customers all make up the tableau of absurd ceaseless entitlement that permeates daily life.
We're not sure what compels someone to insist on wearing a white dress to a wedding that they're attending as a guest. It oftentimes reads like a blatant disregard for the actual bride's big day. Honestly, good on the husband in this scenario for shutting his wife down when it came to the reckless white dress idea. Naturally, someone who is already lost is going to fall into the defensive when they're called out for their insensitive behavior.
Goes to show, if you have a problem at a restaurant, it's pretty likely that if you just respectfully tell them what's wrong with your food they might have a chance to fix it. Stewing in your own hatred is just ensuring that everyone has a bad time. But people would rather make a scene and leave a bad review, like this lying Karen who got decimated by an owner's response.
As young adults, and sometimes as old adults, it's very easy to get caught up with how we want to present ourselves and obsess over it. For anyone out there who is looking for a new job, it can unfortunately oftentimes feel as if the whole professional world has taken it upon itself to spew out aggressive job listings that are wildly unrealistic. Like, apparently there are companies that are asking for their candidates to have more years of experience working with a certain program/software/etc than the actual technology has been around. At least give people a chance. It's hard to believe that people like the Karen in this story actually exist, but oh boy, they're out there. There's no denying the fact that there are numerous seemingly nonsensical things that exist in this strange world only because of humans' humorous, if not daunting levels of cluelessness. Sometimes it's fun to stop, smell the roses, and pay your respects towards those various signs and products that are only around because some folks truly need everything written out for them in life. No shame in that. We're all prone to moments of humbling stupid at one point or another in our lives.
Just wait until we live in a world where jet suits become increasingly common, companies begin to invest in them for their employees, and one day you end up having a pizza delivery dude show up to your place in a stunning jet suit. It's only a matter of time.
