'Should I take his advice?': Boss rudely suggests worker quits over scheduling change, employee considers it

Give some people even a shred of power, and they will preside with an iron fist… devoid of any sense of justice except the whims of their own stupid ego. They'll generally not be overly concerned with anyone else's needs or wants. All is well—just as long as they have their own way.

There's nothing inherently wrong with having to make changes to a schedule or roster; as a manager, that's just part of the job. Still, there are ways to do it and ways not to do it if you care a shred about the people you work with. Changes to a worker's schedule can disrupt their lives and lead them to face a lot of stress as they readjust to their work-life balance. And when not done with communication, consultation, and careful consideration, it can lead to team morale issues.

This worker was suddenly faced with a change to their long-held shift, with the manager wielding their authority to change the worker's shift without even letting the worker know. When the worker went to message the manager about their shift and conflict with availability and plans, the manager suggested they could quit if they didn't like it.

'What do you expect to be illegal in 20 years?': 30+ People share the questionable entities they want regulated in the future

One person wrote, "Please, ban telemarketing," in this fascinating thread of irritating legal things people hope will be illegal soon.

From the very serious to the super silly, people have so many things that they think would benefit from being criminalized. One person wrote that they hope no one is allowed to reheat fish in the office microwave anymore!

Others wrote that they hope to see serious societal issues addressed. For example, it would be nice to not have all our data stolen, and to not be recorded every moment of our lives. Plus, some drivers want to ban those extra bright headlights. Basically, people have tons of ideas for how to make the world a better place by making some legal things illegal. It's great food for thought!

After that, check out these people who tweeted their ideas, and then immediately deleted them – but as we all know, the internet never forgets!

Top 20 Real Estate Fails for Zillow-Obsessed Folks

We've all had those days when we daydream about the perfect home. You know, those dreams where we imagine we have endless amounts of money at our disposal. Those dreams where we think about having all the amenities: a pool, an at-home movie theater, a classy fireplace, etc. Sometimes, several hours of doom scrolling through Zillow and imagining a better life can happen. But then, every so often, you come across a house that's flashy, overpriced, gaudy, and well, just about the ugliest thing you've ever seen in your life. Those real estate fails become firm reminders that even if you have all the money in the world, you can still spend it in the absolute worst way. I mean, someone lived there before, right? Someone paid for that renovation. Someone thought this was a good idea. So instead of looking at all the perfect homes you can't afford, keep scrolling below to have a look at all these ugly homes instead!

Entitled Rich Boyfriend Insists That His Girlfriend Move In for Free, Then Changes His Mind and Makes Her Pay $2.5K in Rent

Just when you thought finance bros couldn't get any worse, they do. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/idiotrichboyfriend, an apt username for this little anecdote.

This entitled rich boy wanted his girlfriend to move in with him after her last place had a roach infestation. When she proposed that they move into a different neighborhood - one that she could afford - he insisted that there was no need. She moved into his luxury condo, and the agreement was that he would pay for her portion of the rent while she was finishing her graduate degree in social work.

The plot thickens. Clearly, this guy's friends accused the Redditor of being a gold digger because the boyfriend just up and changed his mind, suddenly demanding out of nowhere that his girlfriend pay $2.5K in rent. Seriously? The best twist in this story is that the original poster knew a line had been crossed and she got out of this situation as swiftly as she could. A round of applause to her!

'Take them off and keep them off or leave." All bridesmaids leave after bride demands bridesmaid remove her glasses for entire wedding

People who desire absolute control over a situation love ultimatums. The problem with ultimatums is that the person you're setting the ultimatum with might call you on your bluff, leaving the illusion of any control you had over them shattered—along with the entire relationship.

Weddings can be stressful times and leave the couple at the frayed ends of sanity as they try to manifest the perfect day. This can bring the absolute worst out in people, bringing down the facade of their personality and exposing their worst—most awful—traits. When this happens, these "bridezillas" make terrible demands that seem to come out of left field, straining their relationships with even those they are closest to.

When this bridezilla lost it over one of her bridesmaid's glasses, worried that the glasses were going to ruin her perfect day, she set an ultimatum: Take the glasses off or leave. She probably expected that her bridesmaid would take the glasses off, content to blindly bumble around during the entire event. Instead, she decided to leave, and all the other bridesmaids decided to leave with her, to the bride's horror.

‘Try to stop us, if you think you can’: HOA accuses couple of violating bylaws, couple maliciously complies, drowning HOA in legal fees

What happens when an HOA Karen tries to enforce a rule without any real evidentiary support? Let's just say she's met with some retaliation and a triumphant case of malicious compliance. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/FirstContribution236, who set up cameras with their partner in front of their home and ensured that the neighbors' property would not be captured. However, this Karen (who was on the board of the HOA) decided that these cameras violated the bylaws despite there being no real rule about cameras. Still, she had the HOA send a strongly worded letter demanding that the cameras be taken down because they were a "nuisance" to the neighbors.

The couple stood their ground and although they did eventually lose the case, they knew they would never be required to pay a fine. However, they also made sure that this process would be drawn out for a long time so that the HOA would have to pay a ton of legal fees along the way. This waste of money led to half the board having to resign the next year. The couple even found a loophole to put their cameras back up. Keep scrolling below for the full story!
