Funny Signs From All Over This Wild World

It's easy for life to make us feel like we don't have a voice. There are over 7 billion of us. And just thinking about the throngs of people on this planet makes it hard for you to imagine yourself as a distinct entity. "How could I possibly be unique in this sea of people, all thinking and saying things" we all think and say to ourselves, forever blind to the mass cataclysm of simultaneous irony popping in and out of our many skulls.

As it turns out, sometimes all it takes to have a voice is to just write that thing down and put it in a public place. It sounds stupidly obvious, but when you see it done successfully it makes perfect sense. Even the doomed people of Pompeii wrote dirty jokes on the walls of their own city. Funny signs have been around forever, and will continue to exist, even after we're all buried under thousands of tons of lava.

Here are some more funny signs from all over this weird world.

Company Tries to Tell Employee That They Need to Approve Their Resignation

When this employee submitted their resignation their boss told HR that they wanted to approve the date of resignation. This puzzling scenario has readers scratching their heads over the situation.

This short thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by the employee, Redditor u/Dogmom200. They explain that they

Others shared their stories and experiences surrounding HR departments that have entirely missed the mark, even when it comes to something as simple as a resignation.

The great resignation has brought a lot of changes to the employment landscape. The surge of resignations and workers looking for new roles has continued despite warnings of an approaching recession. With one in fivenon-retired workers reporting that they willingly left a job in 2021, you would expect that it would be best for HR departments to get used to handling an employee's resignation.

Who knows what could be happening. This manager probably had lost several team members and was desperately clinging to their last worker for fear of having to fulfill all of their team's roles themselves.

Male Neighbor Karen Challenges Property Lines, Accidentally Proves His House is Over It

This construction superintendent found himself facing the wrath of a male Karen neighbor at the worksite that they were overseeing. The Karen was determined to hamper their construction progress by filing illogical complaints with the city inspector. Not only did this waste everyone's time, but it accomplished nothing except causing major headaches for everyone involved.

The superintendent had had enough and pulled out the CAD files and began to realize that it was actually the neighbor who had parts of their structures infringing on the property of the site they were working on. It was time to exact some revenge

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by the superintendent, u/Short_Finger_Dizzy. They shared their story to the popular sub to the approving reaction from readers.

"All fun and games until someone threatens to use the side of your house as a billboard." said The__Riker__Maneuver.

"As a municipal engineer, I often wonder how the biggest investment people make (for most it is their home) they do the least research on and have no clue about what they bought. Now if it was a piece of tech, they could just go to online reviews. But real estate actually takes some work so there's no time for that.." replied No-Freedom1956.
