Funniest Tweets About Your Therapy Fails This Week (October 19, 2022)

We all have a love-hate relationship with our therapists and for those of you who are not in therapy (yet), you really should consider doing it, at the very least for the drama of it all. Whether we like it or not, it's an undisputed reality these days that people take their emotional baggage from therapy a bit too far, often airing out their dirty laundry on social media or over-expressing their love for their therapist. For instance, we all have that person in our friend group who mentions what their therapist thinks, says, or would say every five seconds. There's also that person in your friend group who talks too much about wishing their therapist would just live with them. Um…yikes! Talk about unhealthy. Regardless, these were the funniest tweets this week from the oversharing, therapy-obsessed type. For more funny memes and tweets, check out these top trending jokes for people in a career crisis

Student With ADHD Keeps Turning Work in Late and Teacher Docks Grade, Causes Split Reactions

This teacher tried to enforce their late policy and docked a student's grade for two consecutive essays, but there's an added layer here. The student has ADHD and the school has limited accommodations. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/phootfreek

Despite trying to reach out to the student on several occasions, their work continued to come in weeks after the deadline. By the time first quarter grades came in, the student was upset by their C- grade, despite the fact that the grade itself was actually generously rounded up.

This one's a tough call, as evidenced by the split reactions in the comments section. On the one hand, this teacher is clearly going above and beyond for a student who is having trouble meeting her halfway. On the other, students with learning differences are rarely supported in class. There are valuable lessons in communication and time management here that could prepare the student for college and beyond, but also the punitive treatment and low grades could hurt this student's future in a serious way.

Weird Choosing Beggar Wants Roommate Who Pays to Be a Live-In Nanny

There are a lot of similarities between a roommate and a domestic worker. For one, both live in your house—which is probably the most obvious. Both are also responsible (partly or wholly) for doing chores and keeping the place neat and tidy. (They probably also spend more time than they want to cleaning up after your lazy buns.) They restock common items, may help care for your pets and may provide you with a source of companionship. But, for as many similarities as they might share there are some very important differences to be had: You pay a domestic worker to help you with your obligations a roommate pays you for use of your home. A roommate does not pay YOU to help you with your household obligations.

For some reason, those seeking to rent rooms seem to really struggle with some of the distinctions between the two. There's an embarrassing number of advertisements for roommates that seem to be confused about what it is they are searching for. This roommate seeker seems to be desperately searching for someone to fill the bizarre combined role of nanny/roommate/girlfriend. I agree with the commenters that this could definitely be some sort of "Hail Mary" type of play in order to find a unicorn for their relationship…

Yeah, it's a strange one… Keep reading for the screenshots.

Guy Turns the Tables After Financing His Cheating Wife and Her Grifting Boyfriend

This is just the marriage/grifter plot of Scorsese's Casino, right? Tell me this isn't some adaptive creative writing piece that has just repacked the movie into a Reddit thread. The fact that the author even references Lester Diamond and Sam Rothstein, two of the characters from the film, makes this scenario ever more likely.

The story was shared to Reddit's r/ProRevenge subreddit by Reddit user u/OfPearlsandSwine, who shared their story to the popular sub in a thread titled "Topsy Turvy." The thread, which earned nearly 3k upvotes, makes for an entertaining read but drew a lot of criticism from suspicious commenters.

"I'm a lawyer, but probably not in the jurisdiction OP is. This sounds a bit skew-iff (a legal term) to me," responded user soppinglovenest, commenting on the dubious nature of some of the story elements.

"I've never heard about a debt being shared in a divorce before; that's a real neat bit of revenge there," said user ProjectNature-Kurisu, who pointed out a key (potential) flaw in a key part of the story.

Entitled Karen Goes Into Full Rage Mode at Movie Theater, Guy Dumps His Water Bottle on Her

There's nothing like an all-out brawl with a Karen at the movie theater to make the moviegoing experience all the more memorable. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/EntitledPeople subreddit by u/NoStateGreenery, who shared an anecdote about an upper-class Karen, her balding boyfriend, and an impulsive choice to dump a water bottle on them to defend his mother.

The Redditor's mother was trying to avoid the large crowd exiting the theater at the end of the film because she has a bad knee. When she came across Karen and her beau, they wouldn't let her pass because they wanted to watch the credits. They harassed the original poster's mom to the point that she was crying, and that's when her son stepped in to defend her. Did he have to dump the contents of his water bottle on them? No. Is it a satisfying reading experience to hear about that choice and the subsequent fight that followed? Yes! Yes! A thousand times, Yes!

'Are you really going to ruin that for her too?': Kid humiliates entitled pool Karen with uncomfortable truth "bombs"

Kids say the darnedest things, don't they? That complete lack of filter can simultaneously be the most hilarious, embarrassing, and cutting thing on this planet. There's nothing worse than being on the receiving end of an incredibly perspective comment from a child. There's something about the truth that a child perceives that leaves you utterly defenseless and without any recourse or response. After all, it's not as if you can respond with an insult back… Then you'd just be the adult that was bullying a child, this is the type of behavior that is only allowed from specific groups—like uncles or that grizzled science/woodshop teacher that we all seemingly had.

Well, it turns out that a child's truth can also be incredibly successful at disarming the entitlement of a Karen—as shown in this story. This wild Karen was no match for this kid's jarringly embarrassing, yet super-effective, comment. We can only hope that his mother never hears about the fact that he shared her secret with the entire pool… If I were her, you'd never see me there again.

Funniest And Most Compelling Shower Thoughts That Have Blessed Our Reddit Feed This Week

How is it that you feel at your most genius when you're in the shower? As you scrub your body, wash your hair with that luscious, fruity shampoo (you were promised by an advertisement that would cure your dandruff), and sing a few songs that you wouldn't be seen listening to in public (AND I WOULD WALK FIVE HUNDRED MILES) - those are the moments when your brain is flooded with a lot of intriguing and also useless, information. 'Did the chicken come first or the egg? If the tomato is a fruit, is ketchup a smoothie? How many times have I ended up in the backgrounds of other people's photos? Does my best friend's cousin think I'm hot? According to evolution, did sharks exist before trees? WHAT EVEN IS LIFE AND WHY AM I HERE?' to name a few. While scrolling through Reddit, as we often do, we stumbled onto the subreddit 'Showerthoughts' and discovered we are not alone in our existential crisis, and we bring to you some of the best shower thoughts we've encountered this week on Reddit. Enjoy!
