There's a lot in a name. Some stuff that should be taken more seriously like deep vein thrombosis or hurricane evacuation areas gets bogged down under a name more pleasant than it should be. Other things like particular food and games would sound less dangerous if the name was more accurate. Other stuff, particularly urinal cakes, could just use a much more fun update.

Police in Galveston, Texas issued an apology after their officers on horseback were seen leading a black man by rope through the streets on Saturday. The 43-year-old man Donald Neely was arrested for criminal trespassing after having been warned by the cops a few times.
Police claim that the two patrolmen didn't have any "malicious intent", and hadn't tied his hands with rope, but the picture circulating on news outlets suggests otherwise, and actually, it really just confirms that this was an unbelievable kind of cruel.
The attorney for Mr. Neely's family says that the man is homeless and bipolar. His family hadn't seen him for several years until the photo went viral online.

Amateur Gastroegyptologist Seamus Blackley came across what he very much hopes are isolated strains of yeast off a few 4,500 year old Egyptian pots and figured it would be a good idea to make some bread out of it. He even went as far to make the dough out of grain used around the time the yeast would have been active, since what we know as modern wheat didn't exist at the time. Anyway, he baked a loaf and was able to taste some (hopefully) authentic ancient bread.

This pathological liar bridezilla is in a trashy league of her own. The general tl;dr here is that she appoints the sister of her ex to step in as her maid of honor cause the other person falls through and she's "good at planning." From there it's a mess of last minute planning, a terrible bachelorette party at a dirty karaoke bar, and the unfortunate finale of a totally botched wedding day. The guy poured his whole life into Bulletball, and the moment these guys see it, it's just a kick in the bulletballs. Actually, since this clip aired, Marc Griffin has found some success using the game for senior olympics and people in various levels of physical therapy. The dude even has a book out. So as hard as this clip is to watch, it's kinda cool to know that Bulletball lives on.

As far as the dark and unsettling world of cursed images go, cursed toilets rank right up there with some of the weirdest shit we've laid eyes on. We imagine getting a case of a very shy bladder if we found ourselves confronting a scenario, involving us having to use one of these. They're just plain wrong.
