Funniest Work Memes for Corporate Millennials That Are Underpaid and Overworked (March 2, 2023)

Anyone who's ever worked in the corporate world had had a taste of something humanity naturally fears. Perpetual hellscape of the cubicle creates a literal prison for employees, micromanaging their every move and enslaving them to stare at spreadsheets until the day they retire (which may be never…?). Corporate big wigs like to try and "sweeten the deal" with marginal profit sharing or offering company stocks to employees at a discount, but we all know that that's barely a step up from the pizza party we all know is coming as soon as anyone starts asking for a real raise. Sure it pays well to be a cog in the corporate machine, but at what cost?

'TIFU by misinterpreting the CEO's arm gesture': Cringey interview goes terribly wrong

Interviews seem to bring out the most awkward parts of ourselves. There's just no way to get through the interview process without being uncomfortable in some way. After all, you're suddenly placed in a new environment, surrounded by people you don't know and have to impress, and you're dressed up fancy while being as nervous as possible.

This person shared their own deeply embarrassing interview story. Not only did the OP act goofy in front of the CEO, they kept getting interviews despite that gaffe! In the comments, people shared some stories that had us laughing out loud at the absurdity. At least the OP isn't alone in their shame.

Next, our Facebook followers answered this question: "What's your unpopular food opinion?" The answers are eye opening, from the suggestion of eating peanut butter with chili, to the pineapple on pizza lovers and haters.

'Never piss off your tool guy': Mechanic malicious compliance ensues after temperamental male Karen loses it

If there's one thing to learn in life, it's to always be kind to your mechanic. This guy in particular clearly had a strong reputation with his customers and was well-known for being excellent at what he does. So did he need this male Karen's business after he threw a temper tantrum and also threw a literal tool in his direction? No, he did not. Our favorite tool guy was told to get off male Karen's property and that's exactly what he did, knowing how much this customer desperately needed his services. Shortly thereafter, he shared his story via this thread on Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit.

As many folks in the comments section have pointed out, the highlight of the story comes when the Redditor is able to name the exact part that was thrown at him by male Karen. That's how you know how good this guy is at his job. Keep scrolling below for the full story and for the best comments. When you're finished, here's another tale of malicious compliance about a student's morally questionable assignment.

Best Blunt Unpopular Opinions of the Week for the Controversially Brave Crowd

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but some people's brains are wired in a super weird way. Their thought process is… yikes. Free speech is great and all, don't get me wrong! But let's keep in mind the fact that along with the right to free speech, comes the right to judge. Reddit is full of highly opinionated folk, and there is an entire subreddit devoted to unpopular opinions. That is why we are gathered here today, to judge some of the most controversial ones.

If you take things personally, you might not want to pay this sub a visit. Anonymity brings along trolls, and they sure like to stir stuff up. People also tend to take things super seriously nowadays and don't want to give others room to voice their own opinions. In other words, cancel culture is rampant. Everyone is offended so easily, and they think that the right to free speech should be renounced, as long as it goes along with their idea of a status quo.

Moving on! Scroll down for the most accurate (?) and wacky unpopular opinions. For more, check out these funny coworker memes.

'No one wants to be friends with their boss': Manager complains that his staff is too chummy and he feels left out, internet serves up harsh reality check

Getting a manager you get along with is rare these days. The workforce is filled with entitled Karen and Kyle bosses that think since they're you boss they can treat you like trash. Those jobs are the kind you have to quit as soon as possible. However, when you find upper management that you actual click with, it's feels like the sky has opened and the sun is shining down on you and the angels sing, ya know? However, how far can you go with that "click" with upper management before it's too far? What do you consider an appropriate healthy relationship with your boss?

One boss took to Reddit to vent his frustrations with his staff. He says that he believes he is a good boss and his employees even tell him so. They all get along very well during work hours and talk like they're amongst friends. However, once the quitting time whistle rings, the staff goes out and has their own time together and they never invite him out. He says he knows that being left out of after-work activities is part of being a manager, but he still feels left out and bummed about it. He posted all of these Reddit and redditors served him up a harsh reality—that you can either be their friends or their boss, you cannot be both. Though the fact of the matter seems harsh, many redditors also add that it's actually a good sign that he doesn't attend those after work outings with his staff. That his staff needs a safe space to vent about their upper management if they are going to garner a healthy working environment together and he just can't be there.

What do you think? Would you invite your boss out for happy hour drinks after work? Check out the thoughts on the subject below!
