'You lied and intentionally misled me in these texts': Job-seeker fires off angry message to recruiter who enrolled them in bizarre interview

This job-seeker was offered a job interview — so how did they end up in a webinar with hundreds of other people

U/LivingStCelestine thought everything was going well as they talked to a recruiter about a job listing. The OP requested a virtual time slot to meet with this person about a management job, and it seemed like they were set up for a 6PM interview. However, when they turned up in the Zoom meeting, they got a terrible surprise.

It's so unfortunate the lengths companies would go through to scam someone, and it's especially cruel when the person is out of work! I don't know who they thought they were fooling. What did they expect to happen when dozens of people all showed up to the same interview? It's truly baffling, and they deserve the angry text that the OP sent them.

Next, check out this story of a toxic guy who just can't let go of his high school years, and it's poisoning his relationships with everyone around him.

'I don't know if I have a wife anymore': Guy embarrasses new wife so badly at wedding that she won't even answering his messages anymore

How badly can you mess up at your own wedding? This unfortunate dummy found out real quick.

This 31 year old OP and his 29 year old spouse decided to tie the knot, and of course that comes with lots of decision making. This misogynistic OP wrote that while he thought up a hilarious joke for his wedding, his fiancĂ© was taking care of the serious stuff. He'd seen one of his buddies write "Help me!" on the bottom of his wedding shoes in the style of "Toy Story," and as the OP recounts, that was a huge hit with the wedding crowd.

Working together with his brother, the OP decided to introduce this "joke" into his own wedding, and it sounds unbearably cringey for every single person involved. Girl, leave him, and OP, just read the comments to find out what you did wrong. As one person wrote, "Always make sure both spouses are in on the joke."

After you scroll through the details of this giant red flag of a wedding, check out this guy whose friends have really terrible dining etiquette.

'He is only worthy of love when he's fit and attractive': Narcissistic mean girl makes fun of her formerly overweight friend, jealously belittling him in public

Mean girls will always be the mean girl. It's as if they have a toxic cloud of rude energy that surrounds them and compels them to be complete jerks to the people around them, manipulating people's insecurities and using deep trauma and feeble attention seeking tactics to control the people around them. One super extra mean girl, u/blueisnotcreative, is the worst kind of mean girl– the kind that plays innocent and pretends to be everyone's friend. Yuck.

Recently, Blue posted on AITA, asking if she was the one being a jerk in a situation that is so beyond cringe that it's mystifying how she didn't catch onto her not-so-hidden meanness. She explains a story about how a male friend of hers (James) used to be pretty overweight and decided to make a lifestyle change that resulted in him becoming physically fit and apparently very attractive, which is great for him! However, Blue couldn't stand the idea of having her clingy DUFF turned into the hot piece at every social gathering so she had to nock him down a notch because she is a total narcissist.

At a party, a tipsy cute girl approached James and started acting flirty with him, but realized soon after that Blue was standing and staring at her with a snarky look on her face. The tipsy girl asked if the two of them were together, a respectful thing to do considering she was trying to make a move on the man), and Blue became the biggest jerk and let her inner mean girl fly loose.

Blue laughed and joked that the tipsy girl would never have dreamed of asking them that a year ago when James was still fat.

The fat-shaming mean girl basically implied that her friend, someone she apparently cared about, wasn't worthy of being loved or dated before he was considerably more in shape, hot, and attractive. Naturally, Redddit destroyed Blue in the comments, claiming that she was a huge AH and was extremely toxic for James, especially now that he is turning his life around. It really doesn't pay to be a huge jerk in situations, especially when it means steamrolling your friends for an ounce of attention towards yourself. Conceited, rude, and clearly jealous.

'It's getting really weird': Church employee resigns, relentless pastor keeps sending them work

Some bosses need to learn to take no for an answer! We have come to expect this kind of retaliation and toxic behavior from a boss in the service industry or in the corporate world, as we have seen time and time again on this site. But have we seen a situation when the toxic boss in question is both a pastor and a therapist? I guess there's a first time for everything.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/brokenpa, and let's just say that she needs to ex-communicate herself from this pastor. The fact that he is still sending her work and also turning others in the church against her is wildly manipulative. Folks in the comments section got pretty clever with their religious puns. Keep scrolling below to see the advice they gave to the Redditor. For more stories like this, check out this post about a woman who quit after just one week on the job.

'Did You Block Me?' : 20 Funniest Dating App Fails of the Week for the Tired Crowd Spending Valentine's Day Alone

Well, if it isn't Valentine's day, showing up for its annual visit. At least it's consistent, unlike the people who occupy dating apps as of late. To be fair, we're all grown up enough to know that Valentine's day isn't about love at all — it's about revenue. So if you're feeling a bit down as you pass by all those stupid teddy bears with carved hearts in their chests lined up neatly in the candy section at the supermarket, remind yourself that half of the dude/ttes receiving them lowkey hate their partner.

Do I sound bitter? Nah, I love Valentine's day. Granted, I spend it playing video games and eating ice cream out of the bucket, but I think it's better than uploading gross stories to Instagram, proclaiming my love for my nonexistent partner because everyone just has to know. That's the real deal, right? Happiness comes from flaunting your relationship on social media.

Speaking of social media… well, of sorts… dating apps. Scroll down for the funniest fails I've compiled this week. You can also check out last week's here.

‘You Better Come In to Work!’ : Entitled Nepo-Baby Boss Attempts to Force Employee to Work on PTO and Paternity Leave, Leading To Calculated Malicious Compliance That Even the Boss's Dad Couldn’t Get Him Out Of

When you're an entitled 22-year-old 'Nepo-Baby' manager, it's likely you won't know what the significance of having a kid is. This boss in particular really had it out for his employee who was having a baby, as he continuously denied him PTO, for the entirety of September, when the employee's wife was due to give birth. The employee in question was fed up, and decided to maliciously comply, sending in a request for PTO and paternity leave in October — which was approved by the night manager, and the scheduling manager — just not THAT manager.

October rolled around, and the employee's boss pulled a Pikachu face, shocked at how his employee would dare take so much time off to be with his newborn kid and his recovering wife. I mean, how dare he want to take care of his family? Unbelievable. His boss didn't take it well, and decided to harass the employee to no end, leaving no choice but for the employee to maliciously comply even more.

Scroll down to read the detailed event that led to the boss being promptly dismissed (Yep, even his father couldn't get him out of this one). For more, check out this cosplayer who took it upon himself to get some petty revenge on someone who publicly humiliated him on an online Fandom.

'You need to find new dinner companions': Dude questions if their friends should be angry at them for walking out on a meal

This dude ducked out of a dinner party early, making his friends absolutely furious.

Some people will always take advantage of your generosity! In this post to r/AmItheA******, u/OldAbbreviations6423 had a pressing question regarding his current friend group. The OP is in the awkward position of being one of the higher earners in their friend group, so they've kindly covered tips in the past while the group was out dining. But the OP noticed an interesting pattern of their friends over ordering since the OP is covering some of the cost. They asked for advice on what to do about friends who don't want to pay their share.

Who among us hasn't made an Irish exit? I get it, but I do agree with commenters who said the OP should have been more direct with their friends about who was going to pay before they left, even if it was a quick mention. We hope the OP finds friends who are a bit less greedy!
