This challenge requires players to intentionally detonate themselves with blue shells. A task that's definitely easier said than done. The meme category itself has been around since March '21. Skilloz has already set the record twice. Just in case you were unaware, the blue shell locks onto whichever player is in first place. To make matters even more difficult, it also only spawns and sticks around for 30 measly seconds for whoever is at least 2K units away from first place.
So, the breakdown for that means that you'd have to make power moves from last to first place before you go ahead and launch the shell at the exact moment that you take the lead. In this particular performance from Skilloz they pretty much come as close to perfection as is humanly possible. This is because they open the item box at exactly 30 seconds, and then chuck the shell with a near-perfect flight path. Meanwhile, I think I'll just stick to old-fashioned games like Beerio Kart, and see how many hops I can guzzle down before completing Rainbow Road becomes an insurmountable journey.
