Relatable Work Memes for Employees With a Permanent Case of the Mondays

If you just clocked in 30 minutes ago and you're already checking your watch to see how close you are to going home, you might be suffering from a semi-permanent case of the Mondays. It's that feeling when you hate everyone and everything at your job and you can't possibly imagine another second of suffering, but you need money, so here we are. Your inner monologue alternates between the dark, sinister voice in your head that insults everyone, to your outer "customer service" voice when you greet people saying, "Hello, how may I help you?" All you can do is hope that customers don't complain when you roll your eyes or give them a sideways glance. It's not entirely their fault that you're grouchy… Oh wait, it is.

'Carefully step over a non-existing obstacle': 25+ Witty ways to innocently mess with someone's head

These people love to play small innocent pranks just to confuse the people around them. A lighthearted prank can be a fun way to connect with friends or coworkers, so these Redditors shared their favorite ways to screw with people's heads. There are some excellent ideas here!

Most of the pranks involve confusing the victim of the prank just a little – by moving around random objects, or handing them something and walking away. My favorite, though, is the person who said their aunt hides ping pong balls in her medicine cabinet before a party. Lo and behold, someone is getting the ping pong ball surprise of shame for being nosy! There are some great dad-joke style pranks as well, in case you're thinking of pranking your kids or family members. We could all take notes from these harmless pranksters!

Next, check out these people who logged onto social media not knowing they were about to get a fiery roasting

'Hope that doesn't hit too close to home': 25 Times people got unexpectedly roasted

If you mess around on the internet, you're going to find out what happens! These people all got hilariously roasted after trying to dunk on someone. It gives you such a feeling of schadenfreude to see people try to say something incorrect, and then get dunked on for it. Although there aren't too many brands doing the dunking this time around, they're occasionally the most vicious of posters (because the writer gets to hide behind the brand name)! In this instance, Game Stop roasted one person who made an innocent comment, probably not expecting to get dunked on.

Next up, check out this unfortunate lottery winner. That's not a combination of words you see every day! This new millionaire chose to share the great financial news with his ex before contacting his current GF… and she's super upset over it.

'The school claims to care immensely about student mental health... yeah right! We decided to teach them a lesson.' : Veterinary Students Fed up With Toxic School System, Cue Malicious Compliance

School systems are known for hypocrisy; most students just suck it up until they graduate. I was definitely one of those students. Professors have such high expectations, justifying them according to past precedent. You'll often hear them say 'Well in my day, we had it so much worse. You're lucky that…'  while proceeding immediately to make you feel very unlucky.

You're not suffering enough! How dare you? This seems to be (ironically) even more accentuated in medical school. These students in question were told they had the 'option' to come to the lab early but it became rapidly clear that this was an expectation (not an 'option'), and that they had to skip lunch in order to achieve this. These veterinary students had had enough. They decided to 'teach the school a lesson', by complying with the written rules, rather than the unspoken agreement every class actually seems to have.

‘You know, the policy YOU created when you got called out by Head Office for not properly handling my scheduled early shift’ : New Boss Loses Her Own Petty Game Following Employee's Malicious Compliance

At one point or another, the higher-ups in a workplace decide they need a regime change and a lot of the time the switch in authority isn't a good one. The new boss marches in, wanting to prove themselves, and thinks that the best way to do that is to address small things that don't actually matter instead of focusing on the bigger picture.

u/DepartmentLarge9472 took to r/maliciouscompliance to share their own personal story of the time they decided to play along with their new boss's power trip. At the time they worked as a food receiver in a retirement home kitchen, and had a great former boss, along with a system that worked. Obviously, that didn't last, because as soon as this new manager took 'control', she made sure to nag everyone as much as possible, handing out written warnings here and there, making everyone's life a bother.

Thieving Boss Steals Super Bowl Tickets, Costs Them Big Client

What should you do when a client passes you, an esteemed partner of your business, a set of Super Bowl tickets to give to their account manager as a warm thanks for their work? Hand them to the employee as instructed—right? No! What could you possibly stand to gain from that straightforward and ethical decision? Instead, regift them to another client in order to bolster that business relationship, who could care less what your sniveling subordinate thinks—they're never going to know anyways.

Oh? What's that? The client's upset that you regifted their $10,000 surprise? Who could have possibly seen this coming?..

The decision-making abilities of some people leave a lot to be desired, and sometimes it hurts to realize that a lack of empathy and ethics is actually advantageous in this world. Luckily, this a-hole boss received at least some commendation for their terrible actions, although there would only have been true justice if they had been ousted from the company completely.

'She screams for a solid minute': Engaged couple sync their phones at Best Buy, accidentally transferring dude's photos with another woman

This guy has got to be one of the dumbest cheaters ever! Not that we support cheating of any kind, but the fact that it did not cross this dude's mind at all that syncing his photos with his fiancé's phone would mean that his many photos with another woman would reveal themselves is baffling to us. This proves our firm stance that the only thing dumber than cheating is sloppy cheating.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/Sereous313, who was working at Best Buy during this entire meltdown. The Redditor came across the photos himself as he was doing his job but tried to signal to the guy that it wasn't a good idea to sync all of them right now. The guy, impatient and snobby, assumed that the Redditor simply didn't want to do his job and insisted that the photos be synced immediately. Cue malicious compliance!
