'Get your numbers up ASAP!': Boss Demands That Non-Sales Tech Guy Sell More Stuff, So Guy Sells Boss' Dad a Bunch of Stuff He Doesn't Need

It's not every day that you get a chance like this thrust upon you—a chance for everything wrong in your life to suddenly sing to the symphonic rhythm of poetic justice. Well, this tech guy got exactly that chance when their boss told them that they needed to increase their sales with "No Exceptions."

This tech guy was working for an internet service provider as tech support when, one day, their boss came in and bizarrely told them that they needed to get their sales figures up. The tech guy wasn't even in a sales role, so he was beyond confused by this request, but when the boss then asked him to help the boss' dad with some tech setup, the tech guy saw their chance for a little bit of revenge and malicious compliance.

‘Don’t You Know Who I Am?’ : Entitled Rich/Famous Customers Who Are Total Karens to Servers and Tip Horribly

When you work in the service industry, you really get to see a different face of mankind, and it ain't pretty. The entire human population should work at least one week in customer service, in the hopes that it would influence them (AKA drive them crazy) enough that in the future, they treat people with kindness and respect. Alas, a lot of dude/ttes treat others miserably regardless of how rich and famous they are, because the fact of the matter is, people suck.

If we're to talk about the customers that suck the most that happen to be rich and famous though, there are a few that come to mind — sure, we gotta dig deep, because those days are long behind us, but the memories remain. Some of them certainly left a long-lasting impression. Scroll down to check out some of the worst famous people Redditers have encountered when working in the serving industry. Honestly, some were downright disappointing.

My personal favorite is when celebs have the audacity to pull the 'DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?' card — yeah, I had a few of those myself. Unfortunately, I cannot divulge the information as it is 'sensitive', but a lot of other people can. Oh, Reddit, how I love you so. To see the entire delight of this thread, you can click here. I'll put an obvious disclaimer in here real quick: These stories have not been verified. The users are speaking from their own experiences. Tada, now let's get into it.

A Candidly Witty Collection of Unorthodox Conversations Held in the Unstable Part of Courthouses

A courthouse tends to look immensely impressive on the outside, as it's usually an old building with large white pillars sitting in a busy location. The steps leading up to it are typically decorated with lots of men and women prancing around wearing black, coupled with a serious expression on their tired faces. This building is famously known for holding all kinds of innocents and criminals. The justice system is many things, but today we're gonna focus on the funny aspect of it.

A lot of people have seen the inside of a courtroom, whether they are a plaintiff, an attorney, a witness, an attorney, or a judge… and there is an Instagram account that is fully devoted to posting some pretty hilarious things overheard in there. We've compiled some of the best down below, so check 'em out. While on the topic of the justice system and verdict, click here for some criminally hilarious shower thoughts.

'Two cups... made me transcend the space-time continuum': Guy shares his TIFU learning moment, says it was a 'terrible discovery'

Breakfast time is not the best time for kitchen experiments, as one unfortunate dude learned the hard way. As he shared in a r/TIFU (today I f***** up) post that gained thousands of comments, he shared his brewing experience with us, so that we may absorb his wisdom. Basically, the OP did a lot of research on coffee, and kind of fell down a rabbit hole, leading to them purchasing an expensive new toy to make coffee with. But the OP clearly didn't do quite enough research, as they explain in the post below. They instead made a near-perfect cup of coffee, with a major caveat that the OP was completely unprepared for.

Up next, click here to check out another coffee related story of an angry Karen customer who got roasted by an off the clock employee.

'Food delivery gone wrong:' Confusion with food order accidentally turns man into a thief

In New York City, when you order food, you get the call, text, or door buzz that says your delivery guy is there. Then you just go down, take the bag, say thanks, and walk away. No other exchange is needed or wanted—it's NYC, they don't have time to say hello and comment on the weather. So when this New Yorker got the message saying his food delivery guy was at the door, he went down and did just that—grabbed his food from the guy, said thanks, and left.

Turns out, however, he was very much not grabbing his food order. He was grabbing the groceries of a neighbor who was waving at him from the door because he was locked out. This man stole his neighbor's groceries right out of his hands and then closed the door right back in his face. Before the accidental criminal realized what he had done, the damage was done and the neighbor was nowhere to be found.

He had a few encounters again with the neighbor that were extremely awkward. But finally he got the courage to explain to him that he didn't mean to rob him, and we went back down to find him and he couldn't. Luckily, the neighbor was a good sport and they shared a laugh about it and are even friends now.

'We are to call him Daddy Cool': Entitled, unhinged boss insists employees call him weird nicknames, cue malicious complaince

This man-child sounds like the ultimate nightmare! Not only did he suffer from the typical symptoms of a terrible boss (outbursts, over-exaggerated hissy-fits, etc.), but he also had a strange desire for his employees to call him weird nicknames. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/SubstantialTerm3843.

The nicknames ranged from Sir to Master to Darth (yikes all around), but the straw that really broke the camel's back for the Redditor was "Daddy Cool." When Horrible Boss decided to make that nickname a requirement, his employees pleaded that he reconsider, but Horrible Boss refused. So what did the original poster do? Well, he decided to comply, but only in a way that would humiliate their boss in front of customers.
