Server Memes For Restaurant Workers Who Are Over It

Working at a restaurant can be stressful and tiring, to say the least. There can be pushy customers, aggressive managers, and, as Mad TV's Bon Qui Qui once yelled, "complicated orders." As a server, you can be sure you'll be on your feet all day, every day. You'll similarly come to grips with the limitations of your memory due to the endless list of dietary restrictions (many of which don't even sound real). And on top of it all, you are expected to smile your way through the pain so that you can maybe, if you're lucky, get at least one 20% tip from a customer during your shift.

For the restless servers out there, we understand your frustration. People can be (literally) the worst. And for those who haven't experienced what it's like to be a server, we hope this provides a little insight so that next time you're being difficult, you can consider, I don't know, not being difficult.

Clingy Coworker Reports Unwitting Mentor to HR For Standing Her Ground

This incompetent coworker reported her competent teammate to HR after she spent months hounding her for information and experience. The report was instigated by the teammate standing her ground after she finally reached a breaking point from all the questions.

In a post on Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A-Hole), this user shared her story, wanting to see if she was wrong for reporting her teammate.

Readers were quick to point out how out of touch with reality the poster was. Some commenters, like user u/gracca (items #6-10), offered detailed breakdowns of the most delusional parts of the post and highlighted where there were critical mistakes in their thinking.

"YTA," voted user Immediate-System-716. "You're being clingy to the point where it's hurting her productivity and then taking her frustration as hostility."

Other commenters picked up on the same vibes that I had while reading through this post and commented that they just felt annoyed at the author while reading.

"YTA, not only did you obviously hold her back, you were getting on my nerves just while reading this," commented user bosko43buha. "I cannot imagine how she must have felt."

"Lmao, right?" responded user Matty_Cakez. "I'm glad I wasn't the only one annoyed reading this sh#t."

Trash-Talking Memes That'll Serve Some Justice to The Psycho Karens Plaguing Your Life

Please don't make me explain this to you, Karen. It is so much easier to mind your own dang business that it is to cause a scene for no reason. In fact, it feels like the only possible reason for a Karen to cause a scene is because they want to actually make everybody's day miserable. What high being knighted you the all mighty savior of knowing what is right and wrong? Or at least riddle me why you always think you know how to do somebody else's job better even though you have never done what they are doing ever. I don't care if you worked at the corner store of your suburban town growing up, you have never worked in the service industry as it is now, so SHUT UP. It's just, if you actually tell a Karen off, that usually means they're going to call the cops (if they haven't already)… So maybe just send them these memes, laugh in their face, and walk away as fast as possible.

Guy Uno-Reverses Karen Who Thinks He is a Walmart Employee

When a guy went to Walmart's customer service to recover his wife's lost almond milk, he was approached by a wild Karen who assumed he worked there. She insisted that he help her and insisted that he worked there, so he turned the play around and threw it right back at her.

Reddit user u/literalgarbageyo posted this thread to Reddit's r/IDontWorkHereLady, a medium-sized subreddit that often features stories, such as this, that have been shared by Reddit users about their experiences being mistaken for workers. Usually, the individuals making the error in judgment also have other errors in rationale and refuse to accept that they're wrong about the accused's identity.

Readers expressed their enjoyment of the story in the comments.

"This is soooo satisfying and clever. 😊" vibed user ITrCool.

"Well, my dad always taught me to treat people the way that they treat you," responded literalgarbageyo. "I guess I took that literally."

"Love how you called her out on being wrong about how long she was waiting and that you were there first," responded user SheWhoLovesToDraw. "She even doubled down with, "But it's still your fault because I'm wrong!" immediately afterward!"

Property Owner Takes Shady Apartment Manager Down

When it became apparent that the property manager was taking advantage of his building's tenants and doing a generally poor job, this owner realized he needed to take them down.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/nuclearrevenge subreddit by Redditor u/Ranthrow607. This subreddit is a bit like the big brother or the r/ProRevenge and r/pettyrevenge subreddits. Only the most brutally devastating of revenge stories can be posted to this smaller sub.

We've frequently addressed the issue of predatory landlords on this subreddit, and I've personally used my experiences with University apartment buildings as examples. I'll admit, this is the first time I've realized that the company managing the building isn't necessarily the owner itself. These apartment management companies can range from exploitative to downright evil, so nothing in this story surprises me.

Readers enjoyed the story and shared their thoughts in the comments.

"That's what they get for being sh#tty at their job," remarked user MamaDMZ. "Good on you."

"That's what they get for being shitty at their job. Good on you.

"Oh man, I wish the folk who owned our apartment complex were like you." said user Catmeow82. "Your tenants are very lucky you care."

Fail Blog's Top 30 Memes of the Week (August 15, 2022)

Welcome back to another edition of Fail Blog's top memes of the week.

Another day, another dollar. Another week, teetotaller.

I hope that everyone has had a genuinely fantastic, banger of a weekend -filled with lots of memories and relaxation.

As before, the previous iteration of this list is being lazily abandoned, but I'm going to start including my favorite comments from the previous week's post in the text in the hopes of making my job of writing something at the start of each of these somewhat easier.

This week my choice is between our dear and darling readers ChicagoMel and JoeS.Ragman. After reading all of my hard effort that went into last week's list… This was Joe's cheery response:

"Well, that was largely pathetic. Except for #17, now that it is the middle of summer."

Thanks, Joe, appreciate those kind words of encouragement. I was going to add Mel's comment here next, but you all already know exactly what that comment was.

Hope you lads and lasses enjoy this week's list.
