25 Blessed Images to Never Forget About Ever

Sometimes we feel like we lack a sense of control or direction in our lives. Some of us are better at living with the idea that life is chaos. Out of that chaos we can still wrangle some meaning and personal growth. But sometimes we need a push in the right direction. Blessed images are a constant reminder that even in the chaos, we can find order. Even when that order is just a cat that's extremely surprised to see a lemon.

When you can't sleep at night because you're reliving all of the times you've said "you too" when a waitress said "enjoy your meal" or because you accidentally called a guy at the store "dad," it makes sense to reset your brain with some wholesome moments or pictures of cats doing their best. Even when we don't think we have choices, we still do. And sometimes that choice is "I wanna see a dog dressed up like bubble tea."

Husband Is Mad That He Has To Watch His Child While Wife Supports Friend In Chemotherapy

Friends should always support friends in times of need. Unless, of course, you're married to this guy.

Redditor u/PrivateTalk7990 posted to the popular moral judgment community r/AmITheAsshole after growing frustrated that his wife's commitment to supporting a childhood friend as they go through chemotherapy by accompanying them to appointments was negatively impacting his life. Namely, OP described realizing that he had a problem with this when he could not go see his friends, or have lunch with his mother and sister, because OP had to stay at home with his son while his wife was at chemotherapy.

As you can probably imagine, this Redditor was thoroughly roasted in the comments of this post and deemed an A-hole indeed. As it turns out, showing discontent toward someone actively going through chemotherapy for a cancer diagnosis isn't going to grant you much love from the public; neither will making it seem like you don't think looking after your son is your job, or admitting that your own mother doesn't want to see her grandchildren.

It's unfortunate that people have to go to the internet to be told they should stop whining about having to be a parent. For more wild parenting stories, check out the dad who left his daughter on the roof in the cold to teach her a lesson.

Boyfriend Needs Help Changing Tire, Has Tantrum When Told He's Wrong About His Car

It's not a good idea to get actively pissed at the person who's trying to help you. And adding to that, trying to undermine their authority on something you demonstrably know nothing about is a really great way to convince them to stop helping you. This guy who's blind to anything car related needed help changing a flat when his girlfriend let him know that he had a few bigger problems with his vehicle than he realized. But instead of investigating the problem, he decided to tell her that she was wrong. Big words for someone who's mystified by a car jack.

In the end, he inadvertently decided that being confidently wrong about his car was worth not having his tire changed by his girlfriend, and she left him on the side of the road. For some vehicular man's laughter, here are some funny car memes to look at while driving.

25 Safety Failures That Would Make OSHA Squirm

Anyone who's ever worked even a mildly physical job has probably been asked to do something stupid, or they've witnessed that stupid thing firsthand. Once you've seen someone end up in the hospital and with a lifetime of back pain because they wanted to save 5 minutes painting a fence, you realize how much of a bargain safety can actually be. An extra 20 bucks on the right kind of carabiner or an extra 10 minutes spent searching for the proper ladder is worth it, especially when the only person who makes money off of saving time is your boss.

But when we decide to forego safety and just sort of wing it, we get some phenomenal spectacles. There's always gonna be someone who is willing to literally risk their life to do it cheaper, so we're never going to run out of dudes 70 feet in the air, balancing on three ladders lashed together with jump ropes. Here are some more safety failures of OSHA-defying boldness.

People Are Walking Out of Interviews, Here Are the Top Trending Threads

A job interview goes both ways. You are trying to see if you want to work for the company just as much as they are trying to work for you.

We've said it time and time again but damn job interviews are just the absolute worst. They're the ultimate facade of our society with both parties putting on their bravest face in order to sell themselves to the other. The interviewee is often trying to sell how loyal and confident they are. The interviewer, on the other hand, selling their dominance and superiority.

I'll admit, somehow we need to find a way to vet candidates and make the appropriate selection. But is this it? Is this the penultimate manifestation of this process?

I'll count myself fortunate to work in a space where a graphic T-Shirt will win you more points than a three-piece suit. How I Met Your Mother's Barney might disagree but suits are an absolute abomination.

Anyways, back to the point and away from the Millennial urge to make a HIMYM reference in every post -It's no secret that there has been a massive trend of people sharing stories online regarding walking out of interviews.

The trend follows in the wake of the Great Resignation and the rise of a demand for better working conditions on forums and subs like Reddit's r/antiwork.

There have even been legitimate articles being published about this kind of thing. Alison Green at Slate has just published this article about the mystery of the "Remoteless" remote job.

No, we're not affiliated with Slate in any way. I'm an appreciator, just to save you the comment. Anyways, scroll on and enjoy this collection of posts.

Company Refuses to Pay Engineer Contractor, He Makes Them Regret It

This engineer left the company they worked for shortly after completing the installation of an important mystery machine (No, not the one from Scooby-Doo.) For some reason, the manager at the client's site kept their number and contacted them personally to come and rectify an error with the machine. They agreed that the engineer would come in on the weekend to complete contract work on the machine at twice their usual rate.

Everything was going according to plan until the manager came in and told them that they would no longer be able to pay them. They still needed to get the mystery machine working, didn't they? This moment of cheapness would cost them big time in the long run.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/ProRevenge subreddit by the engineer, u/AwkLemon, who shared their brilliant story of revenge.
