'With a sledgehammer': Supply Officer says broken copier is fine, enlisted makes sure it's truly broken

Sometimes the only way to make sure a job is done (and done right) is to do it yourself… Even when that job is taking a sledgehammer to the department copier to ensure that it's well, truly, and undeniably broken—whatever it takes to get the pencil pushers off their butts and get something useful accomplished.

This hardened division lead shared their story on Reddit's r/MilitiousCompliance subreddit, a community for sharing malicious compliance from within the military. They report that they weren't fond of dealing with being run around or any of that sort of malarky and tomfoolery, so when their division's copier (which was essential to their work) stopped functioning properly, they sought to solve the problem. They ran into issues with the supply officer, who claimed that the copier was still technically functioning and refused to replace it—cue malicious compliance.

'My MIL stood horrified in the middle of our living room': Couple kicks MIL from their house after she ruins a suitcase

Unpacking after a trip is something you either do as soon as you get home, or three weeks later, and those are the only options. Sometimes, you get back from a trip and put the entire suitcase away ASAP so that you can chill out and unwind after the journey. Other times, you've had so much fun that you're too tired to put away your luggage, and you just ignore it for a while until you gather the strength to put your stuff away

Anyway, this person's MIL is in that first category of people. She feels quite strongly that the OP in this story, u/em1_em1 should've put her belongings away as quickly as possible. But it's not really about the belongings, as you can read in the story below. It's about the MIL having power over her daughter and her daughter's wife, and trying to control the situation for seemingly no reason.

20+ Memes for Folks With Too Much Anxiety, Insecurity, and Stress

So many of us simply do not have the toolbox to handle stress well. So what do we do instead? We come across memes on the Internet and send them to our besties with a one-word message that reads "me." That's our toolbox. That's our coping mechanism.

Sure, we know there are various resources available to us, and we use those as well. Believe me, many of us are already in therapy, but sometimes, a meme can communicate to us what a therapist cannot quite articulate. And for that, I am grateful for these weird pop culture-infused jokes that the children of the Digital Age have created.

Keep scrolling below for this fresh batch of memes for folks with too much anxiety, insecurity, and stress to properly function in the adult world. For more compilations like this, take a look at these food-related memes and these top dating app pickup lines!

'I can’t wait for [my boss] to come back to this': Absent boss gives vague instructions about client grievance form, coworkers drown her in paperwork

This is what happens when an absent boss gives her employees unclear instructions. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/Hot_Supermarket4369, whose boss is in absentia most of the time. Her phone is almost always on Do Not Disturb and she rarely graces her employees with her presence at the office.

Their company is a small nonprofit organization that doubles as a makeshift home for 20+ clients who live there. So what happened when the boss decided to finally create a client grievance form right before she went on vacation? Well, the coworkers weren't exactly sure how she wanted that form distributed to the client given her vague directions. So, the client filled them all out at once. Now, when the boss returns (if she ever returns to the office), she will be drowned in paperwork. That's what you get for being a terrible manager!

'Sweet, sweet revenge': HOA unjustly tows car, faces threat of endless parking applications

Idiots have the uncanny ability to work themselves into petty positions of power, which they then rule over with an iron fist, completely ignorant of the fact that absolutely no one takes them seriously or even wanted that position in the first place. One could attribute this undeniably overly prevalent idiot phenomenon to possibly being due to the individual's complete and utter lack of self-awareness. For, one needs to be aware of one's own actions and place in the world before one can begin to fathom the limits of one's own capabilities. The resulting confidence from this can fool the unwary into thinking that the idiot is far more capable than they really are. When you consider that confidence is the main trait in traditional job interviews, it becomes all the more unsurprising.

Well, a stupid person improperly wielding their authority was exactly what this stepfather and son faced when their HOA repeatedly towed their vehicle off of a street near their home. They battled the arrogance of the board member with sheer stubbornness.

Keep reading for this glorious tale of revenge and malicious compliance. For more, check out this HOA trash can rule that saw homeowners noisily complying.
