Funniest Fatherly Memes for Dads, by Dads, and of Dads That'll Make You Fire Up the Lawn Mower at 6am

There is a mental switch that occurs in the male brain when he has a child or parents a kid. Becoming a dad triggers a list of latent characteristics that over every person over the age of 25 when fathering a child and those characteristics are universal. Understandably, we cannot scientifically prove this, but it seems like every dad brags about waking up early only seconds before falling asleep on the couch. Every dad guards the thermostat like everyone's life depends on it. And every dad loves grilling, chilling, and cracking a few brewskies with the neighborhood rival dads.

Did you just have a kid? Well, fire up the lawn mower because the dadness is coming for you. It's not something you can outrun; you inevitably may become the incarnate of your parents. You can't fight the New Balance sneakers. You can't fight the loudness of your sneezing. Finally, you will no longer be able to fight the urge to grab the leaf blower the second a single leaf falls to the ground.

It all started when Twitter user @hotpriestt shared screen grabs of a random Snoopy post on a page dedicated to the famous animated pup. While the post was from a few months ago, her tweet reignited the discussion around the oddity of this image. Read up on this dramatic internet tale of commenters who rallied around Snoopy dog.

'You should have all said OK Boomer': Horrible Boss explodes at employees, causing mass exodus

It's you! Hi! You're the problem, it's you!  That's what the employees of this company seem to be communicating to their horrible boss, yet he's clearly not getting the picture (or the reference).

This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit, speaks to a lot of what's been happening in toxic work environments over the last few years. What's particularly amusing is when employers choose the path of tunnel vision and decide to go on tirades about how nobody wants to work anymore. Do they even know they're just quoting Kim Kardashian? In this divided work culture, it's easy to point fingers at the people at the bottom of the ladder for wanting to be treated differently, but as we know, self-reflection is not a part of an old-school employer's mentality. So until these guys retire or accept these much-needed changes to work culture, one can only expect this mass exodus to continue.

'I'm quitting...': Veteran employee passed up for promotion then is asked to train their new boss

Being passed up for an internal promotion that you've been preparing for and waiting for for years is always going to sting and make you reconsider your employment—but being asked to train the person they've externally hired over you will definitely grind enough salt in the wound that it will drive you to quit.

That's what happened when this employee was passed over for a senior role at their company and asked to train their boss-to-be. They shared their story in a short thread that they posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit yesterday, reporting that they were planning on quitting their role. The thread began to trend on the popular subreddit and garnered all types of responses from readers who offered their advice and reactions to the events.

Keep reading for this short thread and the reactions below. For more like this, check out this dude who was fired less than two hours into his first day.

'I'm A Genius!' : Funniest Verdicts By Shower Masterminds For The Crowd Who Likes To Brood Underwater

Do you know when the really good ideas you have pop up? Have you noticed a pattern, as I have? Because for me, it's never when I'm doing actual work. Rather, it's always when I have some good ol' quiet time to myself, usually when I'm singing at the top of my lungs in the shower. Suddenly the genius ideas hit me — I should open a startup! Move to Switzerland! Get a dog!

Think for a moment of our dear Isaac Newton. Sure, there isn't actual evidence that suggests an apple landed on his head (But hey, this was a long time ago, before social media was a thing and people knew everything about one another), but we are still led to believe that his observation of the fact caused him to develop his law of universal gravitation. So, in other words, when he was just chilling.

Nowadays, with technology being more advanced, we don't really sit under apple trees, pondering about life… we do so in the shower, in our small apartment that is located in a packed city. No fields of green around here. There is actually a great space to upload and discuss these genius shower thoughts we have — it's called Reddit. You have an endless supply of interesting, creative, stupid, and downright ridiculous content on there, and personally, it's my safe, anonymous little haven.

So without further ado, scroll down and check out some of the best, most genius shower thoughts the internet has for us today. You can also check out these relatable memes if you're tired, broke, and have a love-hate relationship with your coworkers.

'She said they went down [to the pool] an hour ago, but couldn't get in': Entitled mom and kids demand to swim for literally mere seconds, just before pool closes

Going swimming at hotel pools is one of the best parts of vacation — and if you're a kid, it might even be the best part! Unfortunately, one mom and her kids found out the hard way that you can't just use all parts of the hotel any time you please. Pools usually aren't open 24/7 at most places. And as the OP shared in this post to r/TalesFromtheFrontDesk, at their hotel, people can only use the pool for an hour at a time, and it closes at 10 P.M. sharp, so that the OP can complete the rest of their front desk duties. I'm sure there are all kinds of Karens at hotels tormenting the workers, but this Karen had a pretty silly request that the hotel just couldn't comply with.

Check out the story below, and in the comments, people shared some funny tales of other rule-bending managers and crazy hotel guests. Then you can metaphorically hop behind the counter of your favorite chain coffee shop for a peek into the lives of baristas (psst — they really hate making 'secret menu' drinks).

Tenant Tries To Get Shady Landlord To Fix Sagging Roof, Leads To Disastrous Apartment Fail!

I smell a lawsuit or, at the very least, a few months of free rent! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit by u/ZombieAbeVigoda, is both shocking and shockingly unsurprising. We have all dealt with shady landlords before, but has it gotten so bad that the roof literally caves in? Are we surprised that it got that bad?

As someone who has spent the greater part of my life in New York City, I have had countless similar apartment experiences. The first two months of my very first NYC apartment as an adult were consumed by a seemingly endless roach infestation, and once that was resolved, we were then met with a seemingly endless leaking roof problem. All this is to say that I feel the pain of this Redditor, and I know what it's like to chase down building managers and insist that the situation is not fixed and they can't get away with doing the bare minimum. As people in the comments section suggested, documenting everything is the key!
