Sleepy, Self-Deprecating, and Stressful: Memes, Tweets, and Fails For Your Sunday Scaries

How do we combat the Sunday Scaries? One word: memes. Hopefully, you all have a long weekend for MLK Day, but if you do not, you're probably experiencing a healthy dose of the weekly Sunday Scaries right now. And if you are off today, don't worry. You'll just experience the Mortified Mondays tomorrow.

Some of you may have gone out and partied this weekend. Some of you may have done my version of that, which would be an all-around binge fest of pizza and television. Regardless of where you fall on that spectrum of experiences, one thing that has the ability to unite us all is our fear of the beginning of the work week. Mutual commiseration, as we know, is one of the strongest forces we have in this world. So, without further ado, let's commiserate together and scroll through these Sunday Scaries memes. When you're done, take a look at these disastrous hair fails.

Update! 'My husband has a dating app': Husband downloads Tinder because he's 'bored,' wife confronts him

There are lots of things married people can do when they're bored; downloading Tinder is not one of them. That is unless, of course, the couple has made some kind of prior agreement, which was very much not the case in this scenario. This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/TrueOffMyChest subreddit by u/Sufficient_Village87, does not provide very much confidence in the future of this relationship.

If you're in a relationship and you don't have approval from your partner to "browse the menu," so to speak, we've created a list of other options to consider to fill up your time. How about watching a movie or a show or getting into cooking or reading a darn book?! Literally, do any of those things before taking the first step to cheat. This dude claimed he just wanted to have casual non-flirtatious conversations. Ok. Well, then go to Reddit, or better yet, check out FAIL Blog (shameless plug!). Anything other than downloading Tinder.

‘Sorry, Do I Know You?’ : Daughter Pettily Pretends Not to Recognize Biological Parents When They Try Reconnecting 9 Years After Abandoning Her on Uncle's Doorstep

Bad behavior and a lack of communication should not be rewarded. If you made your bed, you gotta lie in it. Those are the rules, simply put. You can't expect people to 'forgive and forget', this isn't a Hallmark movie. Some parents rendered their parental rights when giving their kids up for adoption. And I'm not just talking about legal ones.

Yet, much like those pesky spam emails that keep showing up in your inbox, those 3 am calls from a regretful ex, and those forever skyrocketing bills you receive each month, it's all but guaranteed that you'll have something unwanted continuously slither into your life.

An anonymous user took to Reddit to share the audacity of her/his/their (we're not sure) biological parents, who imagined they could just waltz into their lives the way they had waltzed right out. Worse, it was after the poster's sister had passed, so they were already dealing with a lot of emotions. Scroll down to read about the inevitable family drama, and if you're in the mood for some good old brain glitching, click here to see some of the most interesting pics from some talented (?) photographers.

Viral Tweet: Guy Discovers That His Online Professor Passed Away 3 Years Ago

If this isn't evidence of a desperate education system, I don't know what is! This viral tweet, which was posted to Reddit's r/facepalm subreddit, left me with so many questions.

For starters, is the professor's family even getting paid for this? Is there a TA doing the actual grading? Are they alive?! What do you do if you have questions? What are office hours like? What if there are big updates in the field of study and the subject matter or course material needs to be changed? Please tell me these students are getting some sort of a discount or that they were at the very least made aware of this before signing up. Something tells me the answers to all of these questions skew negative. Not to be bleak, but it kind of feels like the only thing farther underground than this professor is the current state of the education system.
