Wife unplugs the internet when bad Dad won't log off to give the baby a bath, things escalate and HE demands a divorce

Some people have zero self-awareness and totally expect themselves to be in the right when everyone else would gladly tell them that they are, in fact, totally wrong. This husband probably was thinking this exact thing when he decided to ask his wife for a divorce after she pulled the plug on his gaming session over his unwillingness to help out with the couple's child.

The wife made a post to Reddit's r/AmItheA**hole subreddit in which she appealed to readers of the online community to see whether she was in the wrong for taking more dire measures to separate her husband from his gaming session. I'd normally be a staunch defender of the parents getting suitable time to escape and pursue their hobbies, but this sounds like an extreme situation. The wife is both the primary breadwinner and primary caretaker while the husband — well, he doesn't do f*** all, really. To be honest, the guy sounds like me in University — but I didn't have a wife and sick child to look after. He sounds like a pretty heavy deadweight that she should be glad to be rid of.

Keep reading for this thread. It starts with the initial post, and the original poster provides more context to the situation in the comments from item #8. The Life of a Hybrid Employee: Memes and Fails That Pretty Much Sum It Up

We all know those in-person days and those WFH days look very different. When it's an in-person day, you get up with just the right amount to shower, get ready, grab your morning coffee, and commute to the office looking like a professional human person. But when it's a remote day, here's what's really happening.

First, you get up at the last possible moment before a meeting. You don't shower until mid-day when you should be working. You don't change into anything remotely professional looking. Instead, you wear sweats, or you cover yourself with a blanket, or you stay in bed, or you just wear nothing at all (I'm not endorsing this behavior, it's simply reality). In short, on the in-person days, you look like a photoshopped version of a human, and on the remote days, you look less than unfiltered. 30+ Building blunders from people who don't even know which end of a hammer to use

Designing and constructing a building - how hard could it possibly be? Draw a few blueprints here, toss a few bricks and cement there, easy peasy. Joking, of course, but these 35 structures below have suffered from some poor planning. It looks like a lot of these buildings, staircases, and a surprising amount of bathrooms, were all just thrown together as quickly as possible.

It's like the construction crew just cared about completing the building ASAP, and didn't even worry about the people using it. Electricity by water fixtures? Who cares! A disability ramp that will send you careening off a second story building? Neat! We're shaking our heads so hard at these building blunders - keep scrolling and try not to roll your eyes too hard.

Update! 'I'm the a**hole': Dog owner lets pet "go" in neighbor's yard, wonders if they're wrong, internet sets them straight

An excellent sign of an obliviously entitled person is someone who refuses to control their pet. Fido might be your best friend, but that doesn't mean you should be letting it roam endlessly onto other people's property or taking off the leash at an explicitly leashed park.

It's not often that people actually return to take accountability for their actions on the internet. We're so set in our ways, polarized in our beliefs, and utterly convinced we're right that we tend to struggle to take other people's advice and opinions on board. Luckily, this Reddit user seems to have accepted the judgment they received on Reddit's r/AmItheA**hole subreddit, and they have returned with an update to include the steps they intend to take for reparations with the neighbor.

‘You’re Single Because of Your Ridiculously High Physical Standards’ : Man Comes Clean to Delusional Friend Who Believes Most Women Are Out of His League

Some people are a little less self-aware than others, and sometimes they need some gentle nudging in the right direction. Then again, everyone has their own perspective, and none is better than the other… yet still, there are some universal things that people agree on, and these things often have to do with basic vision… of the eyes. If someone is super attractive, you can just tell. They may not be your type, but you can still objectively say that they are attractive. When someone is not so attractive, same thing. And for the record, someone can be less attractive from a societal perspective, but you could still be attracted to them, and they may be more your type than others who do fit the (crazily high) social standard of beauty.

Don't mind me going in circles, though. This article is about a post I found on r/AITA, of a man who sat his friend down and told him quite bluntly, that he should lower his standards in regards to dating. This is less about how attractive his friend is, and more about his friend's double standards. This friend, you see, was not blessed with good-looking genes (which is fine), and does nothing to make himself look more 'attractive' (again, totally fine) — yet he does believe that the women he dates need to meet a certain physical standard - while he doesn't hold himself to the same standards. He is, as you can imagine, very single.

I'm kind of torn on this post, but you're welcome to take a look and judge for yourself. Because that's what we do here, after all. We read posts on the internet and judge strangers. Cuz it's fun. So sue me. And while we're on the topic of reading posts on the internet, feel free to check out these random memes for a good laugh, because they basically define reality.

Update! 'He said I couldn't have left at a worse time': Employee tries to reconnect with boss after quitting goes wrong

One person shared their experience reconnecting with an old boss after an emotional departure from the job. The OP shared to Reddit, asking if they were in the wrong with the interaction. This person describes how they worked for a company for six years, rising through the ranks and eventually even doubling their salary over years of hard work. But then they got an offer they couldn't refuse. It would more than double their salary!

The OP quit with what they thought was an appropriate tone, and even had a plan in place for leaving. But their boss exploded upon hearing the news, accusing them of disloyalty to the company that made their career possible.

However, OP decided that they still wanted to have this boss in their life, because he mentored them, and they didn't want to burn bridges. So they decided to meet up for a drink, and the OP ended up getting some much-needed explanations behind the bosses' strong reaction.
