It's just the darnedest thing when you go and negotiate a price for an item that you're eventually able to purchase, and then a year later you learn that said item was a "rental" all along. At least this person was ready to stand up to the choosing beggar's delusional antics over and over again. A heroic display of stubborn fortitude, really.
