'My trap had worked': Touring Karen demands to be taken into bear territory tour guide gives her a scare

This seemingly dangerous story has an unexpectedly wholesome ending. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/zeemdyx, the son of our story's protagonist. Back in the '80s, the Redditor's father was volunteering at a ranch in Montana and was giving various nature tours when he came across a rude Karen making one of the other tour guides cry. OP's dad asked if he could take Karen off the other guide's hands and proceeded to give her the rest of the tour.   However, he had other plans in mind. When he asked Karen if she wanted to go the official or the far more dangerous "unofficial" route, of course, she pretended to be all high and mighty and demanded to do the latter. Well, be careful what you wish for, I guess! Our hero took Karen on that unofficial route and lo and behold, they wound up having a run-in with a bear. I guess there's nothing like a grizzly to make Karen atone for her sins.    By the time they got back to the ranch, Karen demanded that OP's father be fired, but he was best buddies with the owner of the ranch, so he was all in the clear.
