I don't work for you anymore': IT manager quits then cuts off entire company's internet service leading to company 3 day shutdown

Companies need to be careful with who they pick when searching for a job candidate to work in a managerial role, as often their choice can make or break a team. In this case, OP was an IT manager for a company that was searching for a successor to run the store in the owner's place. Soon enough, they found a 'worthy candidate', but the candidate in question turned out to be not only terrible at running the show but was also rude and entitled overall as a person.  This resulted in 15 employees quitting their jobs in the first three months that this new manager was working. The company then switched over to cost-cutting mode, so long-time vendors were replaced with friends or family of the new manager, services were downgraded or cut, and payment plans for the sales department were messed with, which further eroded the morale of the workforce. Eventually, OP had enough and decided he was going to quit. After doing so, his manager told him he was no longer a part of the company, and should no longer involve himself in work matters. A few days later, OP received a call from his local internet provider, who told him that his internet service bill had gone unpaid for the last six months, and would get cut off if he didn't pay immediately. OP remembered the last words of his manager, telling him that he was not to interfere in company matters… so OP decided to maliciously comply. This led to a variety of problems for the company.
