Questionable Parenting Trends That People Are Sick Of

As much as we'd love to have the end-all-be-all answer to parenting, it's a lot easier to point out the problems with everyone else's terrible children than it is to actually parent their terrible children. That said, we've all seen some totally non-functioning parenting techniques, like giving a toddler an iPad to shut up, seeing an otherwise developmentally standard 4-year-old in diapers, and parents who don't want to teach their kids the word "no."

It seems like it'll all lead to a world of entitled Karens and anxiety riddled nincompoops named Jamie Lannister. But at the same time, it's not your job to parent other people's kids. Those parents are free to mess them up as horribly as possible as long as what they're doing isn't illegal.

Many of us probably pine for a time when we got to sit in the woods with a stick and a rock rather than go to leadership camp, cello lessons, and interpretive hip-hop dance as a ten-year old. But that's not what everyone thinks, so there's not much wiggle room.

Just please, dear God don't shame your kids on social media. We know that kids are dumb but yikes.
