When u/VeterinarianWhole250 and their significant other moved into their house 20 years ago they had a long period of peace with their elderly neighbors and they "got along with [them] very well."
But when those neighbors, sadly, passed away and the house was sold it fell into Mike's meaty claws.
Now Mike is one of those people. One of those people who have no regard for where they hang in the karmic balance of the world or for how their actions affect others.
All people like Mike see are dollar signs and personal gain.
Our protagonist couple had been sharing a driveway with the old neighbors for the duration of their time living next to each other. The driveway was partially on one side of the property line and partially on the other.
So, when Mike decided that he was going to abolish that tarmac treaty, his ugly mug wasn't ready for what he was about to do.
