They say power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. But give one person autonomy over a coffee maker or a copier and watch as they reign over their microscopic empire with indomitable will and fist of iron. Seriously, give the wrong person authority over something as small as a broom closet and they'll manage to turn it into a broom kingdom. For a power play, here's an unreasonable boss who threatened a deli guy's job, to which he said "okay."
