'I got my neighbor evicted': Grad student snitches on his noisy neighbor to the HOA, getting him evicted as revenge for ruining his peace

Nobody likes an unreasonably noisy neighbor. Renters with thin walls and even thinner patience have struggled for millennia against inconsiderate neighbors and there's a point that they start to think that the neighborhood is simply improved with the surgical removal of disruptive folks. One grad student spent one too many sleepless nights with rage in his heart that he finally took (semi unethical) action against his neighbor, willing a small victory over the boisterous guy who cost him the best grades in class.

OP lived in an apartment next door to a serial TV-watcher of the worst variety: music blaring, entertainment at all hours of the night, and his volume turned to maximum. Not only that, but it seemed like this noise maker had a hankering for the cool night air, because he also left all of his windows open so that the entire neighborhood could enjoy the sounds of whatever TV show he was binging. OP asked him several times to turn it down, in an attempt to gain a study-worthy zen in his house again, but the neighbor didn't relent.

Finally OP snapped and went straight to the powers that be: their HOA. OP knew that weed was illegal in their complex and despite being a smoker himself, decided to get revenge on his neighbor for all those sleepless nights and relentless tunes. Scroll for the full story on how this grad student quickly turned sour against a noisy neighbor, actually committing a cardinal sin in order to save the apartment complex from noise.
