TV and internet service providers might be some of the most universally disliked companies on the planet. Almost no one can say that they've had an excellent time dealing with customer service for a company like this, and extremely simple problems are notoriously difficult to resolve, frequently at the expense of the customer themselves. There's a whole lot of "so you're telling me I have to pay you money because of a mistake you've made." And it's not like you'll ever get to talk to Mr. Satellite. You can only deal with a poor customer service person who's job is to get yelled at on behalf of the garbage company they have the misfortune of working for.
Anyway, this person said "no" to all that and on behalf of 200 elderly residents just did the thing themselves. Not bad.
