It's remarkable, the amount of drama that can come from a single parking dispute. People will call cops, end relationships, and throw hands over parking. But the fact that it's in essence a territorial dispute makes it something that goes deep into our bones. The fact that these guys took up an entire zone of private spaces meant that OP was ready to wage war on these careless parkers.
All it took was a below freezing Chicago winter, a hose with a sprinkler attachment, and time to make sure that it was going to be the last time the parking spaces were taken up by interlopers.
Was this particularly cruel, and probably overkill? Probably. Was it an effective way to keep people from illegally filling up all of your parking spaces? Absolutely.
