Every workplace has its own work culture. It might show itself as Casual Fridays or Taco Tuesdays, or "we make fun of Joe behind his back every day." To have a functioning team, it's important that everyone fold themselves into daily life in a reasonable way, and when someone resists that, it can be cause for bad vibes. A new coworker might have a reasonable complaint, like "why do we have to stand here while our manager makes fun of our shirts all day" but they're bound to ruffle some feathers, especially if their disagreement is accompanied by an outburst. Most notably, who thinks they have better judgement than the people who have been working there for years?
OP here might have a bit of a grim nickname, but it would be absurd to make a huge deal out of it. At least the internet seemed to agree that chill pills are required for this situation.
