Husband Tells Wife She Needs Boob Job, She Tells Him He Needs A Job, He Plays Victim

This topic was posted on Reddit's r/AITA subreddit this week by the wife in the post who posted the topic to gauge whether or not she was in the wrong for her retaliation. She posted the topic with the title "AITA for what I said after my husband commented on my flat chest?"

It's very seldom that the instigator of a disagreement should get the chance to play the victim. Maybe if the instigator leads with a minor offense and the other party takes the nuclear option, then there might be some wiggle room on that statement.

Apart from that, if you're going to dish it out, you'd better be ready to take it back, especially when the dishing is (arguably) far more offensive than what you're taking back.

Commenting on someone's physical appearance is never ok and is on the list of "Things to avoid doing in order not to be a d-bag." It's often the source of heavy insecurity and likely has been a target of choice for bullies in their past. You should never do this to a stranger, and you should certainly never do this to your partner.

So, when this husband decided to make a comment (in front of his family nonetheless) about his wife's small breasts he accepted whatever consequences were coming back to him. He opened the playing field for retaliation and, for some reason, was unable to hack it.

This guy probably doesn't deserve to be married to anyone if he is going to treat his partners in this manner. The guy needs to grow up and get his attitude adjusted. What an a-hole.

Commenters have been in full support of the wife and have been absolutely obliterating the husband in their responses. Many are calling for an end to the marriage and an end to his attitude.

"NTA whatsoever." One user commented, "He f---ed around and he found out. You should give him space. Permanent space, away from you."
