People Share Their "Screw It, I'll Deal With It Later" Moments

Risks are an important part of life. If we don't take the right risks, we can miss out on important opportunities. It's common for us to find ourselves shackled by our own sense of security. Choosing to walk out of a bad job or ask someone out can feel incredibly stressful, but there are moments when we just kinda go "f*ck it" and see what happens. Even a seemingly stupid decision can sometimes be necessary. And those moments of taking a leap can have longstanding positive benefits for us.

And then there are other times when we know our decision is just plain stupid. Choosing to get back together with someone you know is bad for you, or stealing a police officer's hat off his head are definitely risky maneuvers, but they don't hold a lot in the equation for potential gain. The problem is that good stupid and bad stupid risky moments can feel almost identical.

When telling oneself "We'll just deal with the consequences later" it's often important to take into consideration what exactly those consequences will be, but sometimes we just don't have the time to think about it.

For some tales of escape, here are some people's "screw it, I'm out" moments.
