This poor guy just cannot catch a break. It sounds like the entire world is against him. That being said, he really should have come clean about the reason why he and his ex broke up long before the narrative got away from him. Clearly, at this point, they aren't going to believe a word that he says.
Honestly, they sound toxic so maybe things going this way is a blessing in disguise. Time to cut ties and take to the road. Rebuild. Start over.
Yeah, otherwise this guy needs to come clean. Even more so than the guy who faked a British accent for 12 years.
