Yeah, it was just a repeating gag from a movie that came out over 20 years ago. And while The Truman Show wasn't necessarily a modern classic, it still stands as a decent, if somewhat sappy exploration of the human condition, parasocial relationships, and how we relate to each other. But the most important thing is that there was this guy in the bathtub with us the whole time, a fellow viewer who kind of has is own arc, even if he's pruning up in the tub.
