Not only did this person try outsourcing their own work at the last minute, they decided that they shouldn't have to pay money to do that. If there are any lessons to take from this, the broader one might be "stealing is bad." But a more specific lesson might be "displaying your naked intent to steal something is an especially bad idea when you desperately need that thing in order to keep your job." So there's that. And here's a Karen who didn't understand why work should cost money.
