Schools are not just places of learning math and science, but also learning that your classmates will pay good money for sour patch kids. Especially when you realize that you can beat the school store in terms of price, convenience and scale. Kids, being people, will put value on just about anything. Whether that commodity is pencils or their own shoelaces back, just about every school had some kind of black market.
