Jerry has gone on to say that his hug refusal wasn't personal, and that he just didn't know who she was. With that said, Seinfeld has spent his career cultivating the kind of personality where this still could be something he might do, even if he did know who she was. But it's still pretty funny to see a famous person straight up get denied a hug from another famous person. It's relatable, in a way.
