It sounds like this boss had all kinds of Ricky Bobby-inspired illusions of grandeur. Basically, he'd force all of his employees to pull up for this company spirit building activity, where they'd hop in some go karts and then be defeated by their boss on the track. Well, the boss definitely underestimated their new hire. It sounds like after the malicious compliance was successfully executed, that the employee got themselves off the hook for future mandatory kart race attendance.
