There are bound to be misunderstandings via text messages, especially between yourself and a stranger. On Tinder, your first sentence is often your last, as you get unmatched because some people didn't get your sense of humor. It's like walking on eggshells, you never know when one might crack. There are plenty of other issues when meeting someone you've only spoken to over text for the first time. More often than not, people don't look exactly like their photos.
