'Why was my flight canceled?' Woman's credit card gets hacked, cancels flight booked by alleged hacker, he reaches out asking why


Travis may not be the brightest bulb. On the one hand, he could be an innocent victim of the real hacker. If that's the case, the real hacker probably sold him his air travel tickets via the Redditor's email for half the price or something much cheaper. Still, it's extremely fishy, and as annoying as it is, this is just further justification that you should always book your air travel through actual airlines. 

 

The other possibility here is that Travis was the real hacker and genuinely was confused as to why the Redditor canceled his flight. If that's the case, then the fact that he emailed OP with his name and number is truly baffling.
