There's nothing like reading about apartment drama to make you feel better about your situation. We've all dealt with shady landlords at some point in our adult lives, but this couple definitely has earned my sympathy. Just because their landlords discovered that their other tenants were using their space for less-than-legal purposes, this Redditor had to suddenly undergo monthly inspections. On top of that, the landlord's wife forced them to make changes to their space after each inspection, mostly because she disagreed with their furniture choices.
Eventually, the Redditor and his now-wife were able to find a house to move into and because their lease renewal didn't mention anything about informing the landlords that they were moving out, they decided to prolong that announcement until the last possible moment.
