'It would be better for everyone if I quit': Boss threatens to fire employee all year, employee finally quits, boss tries to get him back

Every so often, we come across a satisfying story about a boss getting what he deserved! Sometimes, you have to be willing to walk away in order to truly make your point known. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by an employee who shared that after messing up over a year ago on the job, his boss was still threatening to fire him constantly.

It got so bad that the Redditor went ahead and applied to a much better company. When he got the position, he first felt guilty about leaving during a busy time for the company (thanks for that feeling, capitalism!). However, those feelings went away when his boss decided to threaten him yet again. This was when the Redditor came clean about the new upcoming position and when his boss immediately tried to backpedal. Too late! You can only threaten your employee for so long before it comes back and bites you on the butt. Keep scrolling below for the full story!
