'He wanted to name a daughter Parmesan': 25 People shared the wackiest trendy names they've ever heard

You have not lived until you've heard a parent telling their two-year-old named Atticus not to eat a handful of dirt. These days, you'll hear a wide variety of names on the playground, many of which are older names coming back into style again. "That's enough time on the iPad, Henrietta!" or "Ethel! We don't grab people's hair!" are common to hear with today's youngsters.

Other people have been super into naming their kids after objects/places, like Forrest. That's a pretty name, but the problem for Forrest is that everyone hears his name as "Boris" when he's introduced. I've never met a kid named Brick or Brickson as some people in this thread mentioned, but I have met more than one Braxston. Yes, Braxston, like Braxston-Hicks contractions.

Then, you get to the interesting spellings that lots of folks love give to their kids. All the Graysyns and McKinleighs and Lucieghs of the world, I'm so sorry for all the hassle that's going to cause as you have to spell out your name for people over and over. I know people who had complex spellings and later legally changed them to simplify it — at least if you don't care for your name, there's always that option once you're grown. As for those who are still kids, you'd better pick a cool nickname

As a parent, you may still want to name your kid that quirky name, no one will stop you. Maybe just don't pick "Parmesan."

Next up, check out this update on this woman who brought her "forgetful" SIL's wallet to dinner, then told the internet… and her SIL found the post!
