Update! 'There was broken glass everywhere': Can-stealing delinquent nephew gets arrested after trashing uncle's home

What do you do when you've been caught and punished for your delinquent actions? Apologize and learn from the experience, improving your life and outlook? No! Double down on your mistakes — of course!

That was the illogical reasoning that led us to this update in a post that was shared on Reddit's r/EntitledPeople subreddit. This one escalates and gets pretty wild. I was kind of on the fence about sharing this one because it takes a sharp left turn out of the "fun zone." after the nephew is arrested and taken to juvenile hall… but — in the spirit of the update — here we are. All of this over $200 worth of collected recycling deposit cans…

For those who missed the original thread that we shared last week, you can view it here, as it is not included in this post. The gist of it is this: This uncle arrived home and noticed that his shed had been broken into; the only thing that was missing was hundreds of empty soda cans that he kept in massive bags in the shed. He had been collecting these with the intention of eventually turning them into the recycling plant to collect their bounty. The cans were gone, but the uncle had plenty to go off of to unravel this mystery. The idiots had broken into the shed in clear view of his security cameras and without wearing any disguises. The culprits were easily identifiable because, well, they were his nephews.

This led to a whole exchange between the uncle and his sister, the nephew's parents, which eventually led to the police getting involved.

Now that you're all caught up… Keep reading for this update to last week's thread. For more family drama, check out this brother who thought that his child would be the exception to a child-free wedding; the groom put him in his place.
