Social media is chock-full of photoshopped bodies, picture-perfect dinners, and expertly photographed vacation selfies. Enter BeReal, an app released in 2020 with the intention of being the opposite of most social media platforms. Instead of curating the perfect photo, everyone posts a photo at the same time (well, when the app isn't crashing, anyway). It captures photos of each person where they are - front and back camera view - in an attempt to, you know, "be real." Sometimes that's a little boring. But other times, people have shared some truly hilarious and crazy moments!
