'She said a lot of stuff...but I, well, just don't care?': Woman asked to financially support her brother's ex-wife despite barely knowing her

This woman learned from her parents that her brother, with whom she has a contentious relationship, to put it mildly, is going through a divorce. Not only that, but now his soon-to-be ex-wife has already reached out to her for money.

This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/AmIHerSister, who shared that she and her sister-in-law barely even knew each other. They only had polite interactions and rarely hung out (the Redditor's husband wasn't even invited to the wedding!). But what really set the Redditor off (and upset people in the comments section as well) was that her sister-in-law co-opted the "women support other women" rhetoric and applied it to this situation. It's a tough argument to make when the sister-in-law never extended that same courtesy herself to the Redditor. Additionally, the Redditor made it clear that she's not swimming in superfluous money and has her own family to take care of.
