Work is a necessary evil in most peoples lives. We have bills to pay and mouths to feed okay? No, I'm not passionate about customer service, no it wasn't my childhood dream to optimize SEO for a midlevel company, and I certainly never wanted to "be my own boss" for an MLM business. Obviously there are exceptions, some people love their work, but for the rest of the population, one thing can be agreed upon in mass.
Work sucks.
So maybe you've faked being sick because you simply can't imagine talking to another Karen over the cash register, or you have daily mantras reminding you of how this will all pay off on your bi-weekly payday. That's perfectly normal. The work/life balance is a constant struggle that everyone deals with. So plan your next vacation to Hawaii during work hours because maybe that's the only thing keeping you clocking in these days-- the promise of tropical paradise.
