A woman received this message from her first date telling her that he thought they were incompatible because of the way she had eaten her salad during the date. Her date explained that the way she ate her salad was "greedy" and wasn't "ladylike."
Screenshots of the text exchange were posted to Reddit's r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit by Redditor u/Ryanfunroe. It's pretty safe to say that these text messages are not their original content and have been reposted by the user, but we were unable to verify this.
It's incredible, the arbitrary rules that we have somehow managed to create for first dates. What's wrong with just being yourself and seeing if things work out? Why have we invented all of these insane hoops to jump through? I mean, sure, it's important to make sure you put your best foot forward for any first impression. Still, we tend to make things like this so needlessly complicated, especially when it comes to dating.
