We'd like to think that everyone who's mature enough to clothe and feed themselves is also capable of sticking to making only reasonable demands of the people around them. This is demonstrably not the case. There are people who will gleefully go on yelp and complain that the restaurant they just happily ate at did not honor their military discount. You think to yourself, "aw, that's not fair to this customer." It is then revealed that this complaining customer doesn't actually qualify for that military discount, but in fact thought they felt entitled to that discount because they were wearing a camouflage shirt. "This person couldn't possibly be serious. No reasonable person could think they get three dollars off a burger because of a shirt they were wearing"you think to yourself. And the sad answer is yes, "people are like this."
